I have Irish in me, and I bet the majority of this guild does too! Also there's to many stories as to where Halloween came from how sure are you that yours is right? I don't even think mine is 100 percent accurate!

Wow. Does it matter who it's celebrated by? It's just a holiday and anyone can celebrate it if they want. It's not limmited only to the irish. Plus, I'm american and i don't see what the big deal is. Why'd you even post that? Seems kinda pointless to me.

i posted this because i was shocked by the arrogance of americans thinking they own all irish customs.

Americans do not claim to "own" all Irish customs.... Plague thinks you are just a wee little child that does not understand the process in which these things came to be in the states; the Irish immigrated over to the states and WILLINGLY BROUGHT THE CUSTOMS WITH THEM. Plague thinks that if you want to b***h about and be pissy with people over a holiday you should be pissy with your own people.

i certain hope that you are not implying that having a irish descendant gives you the right to broadcast how "Irish" you are,because all that means is you are just of irish descent nothing more.

big whoop. you can speak gaelic and i cant understand a f*cking word of it. but then again why would i even bother? as far as i know, the only places they speak it are in scottland and ireland, and the language differs in the two areas, speak to me in something i do know: spanish, french, german, japanese, english, heck i even know some latin! you're just proving my point further; youre the one broadcasting how irish you are, but that still doesnt give you any more of a right to celebrate halloween.

one more thing: apples for halloween!

I cant believe we have been reduced to this. Anyone who thinks a holiday should be traced back to one of its roots. And only one race of pure blood in one geographic region holds the rights to celebrate the holiday, dont get the purpose of celebrating anything.

Since my birthday is december 24th and millions of people have been born before me on that same time and quite probable the exact same minute. I have no right to celebrating my birth.

Point is we can go round and round on who wants to have the last word.

In this world of compiled imagination we on gaia will celebrate how we choose. If you dont like it dont piss on personal believes & traditions, take the time to teach what little( and I mean little) piece of the puzzle that you know. And serve the world as a positive teacher.
