["Will You?" - RP with Roxas]
It had been a while since Ashin had seen his crush. But he happened upon him at a most interesting time - somewhere between lunch and dinner, in a small cafe off the corner of 3rd and Stanton. Said shy-fox was sipping on a cup of joe, tapping his foot to music only HE could hear. He had been 'sane' for two months now, since Black Jack had started treating him for DID/MPD. He still had problems with them getting out OCCASIONALLY - but nowhere near as much as they used to. His eyes were riveted to the book he was reading, but his mind was on Roxas.... Where was he?
It was time he got out for awhile, Roxas decided. He had been constantly wondering about Ashin but waiting patiently on a couch at the sanctuary wasn't the way to go about finding the rainbow fox. So he put on some clothes that were neither dressy nor plain and headed out, deciding that even if he didn't find Ashin, at least he would've done something toward that end. He passed by countless shop fronts without a second glance but the cafe caught his eyes and pulled him in. The second he stepped through the door, he saw why. Grinning, he crossed to the other fox and gently tapped him on the shoulder. "Hey. It's been awhile, hasn't it?"
Ashin turned around - surprised to see Roxas right after he'd just been thinking about him. He set down his book, and pulled the other chair out from the table, patting it. There was a grin on his face.
"It HAS been a while, hasn't it? Whatever. It's good to see you! Sit! Sit!"
He flagged down a waiter, and ordered a soda for Roxas - unless he wanted coffee. In that case, coffee was ordered. Leaning back in his chair, he fixed his gaze on the person he hadn't seen in ages, smiling.
"Where have you been?"
"On the couch at the Sanctuary, pining for you," he said, his tone playful even if what he said was the stark truth. "How've you been?" he asked, taking the soda from the waiter and stirring it with a straw. "I've been wondering."
"Me? I've been doing ok." he said with a quiet laugh.
He stirred his own coffee, before having it sent away and having another soda brought. He didn't need MORE caffeine. A smile sat on his face, and refused to budge.
"That little problem I had is almost completely taken care of. Black Jack's been treating, me, and you have NO idea how wonderful it is not to have to worry about others butting into your conversations."
He chuckled at that, and took the soda that the waiter brought, sipping it, and staring out the window past Roxas' shoulder in quiet contemplation.
"I actually... wanted to ask you something...."
Roxas guessed he could see how that would be an improvement but he actually liked Ashin's multiple personalities. Or at least most of 'em, anyway. Shrugging inwardly, he returned his full attention to the conversation and smiled at the rainbow fox's last statement. "Oh? What would you like to ask me?"
Ashin gave a bit of a nervous laugh, and stirred the soda with his straw to hide the fact that he was scared, and really didn't know what to say. He swallowed, and stared out of the window as he spoke. Not being rude - but trying to conceal the fact that he was blushing red.
"I... umm... I was wondering.... Will you..... Will you be my boyfriend? Move in with me?"
The last sentence was quieter than the first, almost inaudible. He coughed, and repeated it.
"I mean.. that is... if you want to... Move in with me... and everything..."
Watching Ashin with a slight smile curving his lips, Roxas waited patiently for him to work up to what he wished to ask. He didn't particularly mind, since it gave him time to idly study the rainbow fox's face...
Jolted out of his thoughts by Ashin's voice, Roxas refocused his attention and had to blink several times before the words registered. "Well that was unexpected," he finally commented, still in mild shock. Then he sat back slowly and took an absent sip of his soda. "Yes.. I'd like to be your boyfriend and to move in with you. As long as you're sure you want me," he added, smiling.
Ashin was awestruck. He didn't expect his invitation to be accepted! He sat up, and beamed at Roxas, almost estatic. He couldn't believe his ears! Roxas had just agreed to everything he could have ever wanted! He sprang from the seat, and scurried over to hug the boy, and hug him HARD.
"Oh thankyouthankyouTHANKYOU!" He cried, snuggled as close as he could get.
Roxas thoroughly enjoyed Ashin's reaction even though the rainbow fox was hugging him just a little too tightly. He didn't want to be let go, but there was the small matter of his needing oxygen to consider so he gently tapped Ash's shoulder to get his attention then croaked, "Sweetie? Can't breathe.. Loosen your hold a bit?"
Ashin meeped lightly, and let go of Roxas just a bit to let the boy breathe. He muttered a hasty apology, and buried his face in Roxas' shoulder.
"I'm sorry - I'm just.... I'm so happy that you accepted. I was afraid that you were going to say no...."
His tail lashed back and forth a bit, and his ears pressed flat against his head. He was content just being with him, with Roxas.
"Don't leave me...."
Now that Roxas could breathe, he chuckled and slid his arms around Ashin's waist. Then he tilted his head slightly and kissed the rainbow fox's temple.
"I won't leave you," he murmured into Ash's ear then started to idly rub his back. "I..I love you, Ash," he continued, flushing scarlet all the way to his eartips.
Ashin wiggled happily, and leaned up to nibble on the other's ear. He was so glad Roxas felt the same way!
"I love you too, Rox..." he murmured quietly, resting a hand against the boy's chest. "And I always will."
He meant that. Once Ashin committed to something, he was committed for life. And now his life was dedicated to Roxas. He would never leave him unless Death parted them. Ever.
"Tonight, you've made me the happiest hybrid on Gaia..."
I love you too, Rox...And I always will.
The words reverberated inside Roxas' head and made his heart swell fit to burst. How had he gotten so lucky?
"Really? I thought I was the happiest hybrid on gaia," he murmured, pressing his smiling lips to Ashin's temple once again then trailing kisses down to the rainbow fox's jaw. "I guess we should call it a tie, then?"
Ashin laughed, and closed his eyes, turning the teasing into a deep and passionate kiss. He let his tongue snake into Roxas' mouth and out again. This is what he had been missing. Someone to care for. Someone to hold, and someone to love. And love Roxas, he did. He tightened his grip. The next words he spoke were almost only to himself, but if Roxas were listening closely, he might catch them.
"Mine... you're all mine... now and forever... Love you.... Love you...."
