Has anyone ever seen the Gaai version of the CIA guild? Or one of those guilds that attempts to predict various future events or trends in Gaia? Ever notice how completely off they tend to be?

A good investor uses tried and true methods of investing, but a great investor uses Intuition. This topic is truly bizzare, but what follows should be sufficient to at least peak your curiosity about what RIP is all about.

it would seem that the kitties are the next baby seal slippers; I do beleive they will do much better in the long run than the cloaks, which hit the 6 k and less margin as I promised.

I do not forsee the february items surpassing 12k for a very long time, in the mean time, I theorize kitties will accelerate to 24k before solar/lunar hits the 10-12k market.

As the market is currently unpredictable due to sudden economic impacts usch as 500,000,000 in housing or 3 million in Gambino Tower, it is uncertain what the future dates of these predictions will be, however, it would seem that Easter is like, in two days.

Anything chicky/bunny/cute and fuzzy will be valuable for the next 3 days, then drop by the fifth.

kiki fits a nitch identical to the nitemare bustier but is in permanent limited supply.

Most items do not necessarily equate to "absolutely must have" part of wardrobe, and are only collected as peculiarities of Gaia pop culture. THe OMG and AFK hats look ridiculous. Some of the higher end items literally fulfill the prophecy of "If (insert completely stupid item) was worn by supermodels and movie stars, everyone would want to wear them".

Remember the Macarena?

Then you have the nitemare bustier. Itr fits that "victoria secret" nitch, through random events, so not anyone can go to the store and buy one, but they are located at the market place on a regular basis.

Why aren't they selling for much lower? They keep producing them right?

They are popular because jsut about every girl wants one in her inventory, in her imaginary Closet Wardrobe.

The kiki kitty serves the same role, - millions of people want pets, Gaia is more girls than boys, (even if playing boy avatars) and girls like cats more than boys like cats; thus the cats are as popular as the bustier, yet amplified so, because of lack of supply.

I am uncertain if the price will exceed 232k however, as the ratio of value is based upon the current value of higher end 03 items, and those items may price freeze in the near future. (you simply cant get blood out of a turnip) The price is thus based upon the typical kodiak/panda hat wearer's wardrobe with an estimated 55 million + on their persons. When the average oldbie wearing upper end 03 items begins to surpass this value drastically (such as 100 million +) the cap of 232k will increase, and the kiki will be the next angelic/nitemare scarf,

but by then, another donation item may put a dent on its inflation, in the same way butterfly wings impeded the fairy wings.

Please be aware that the kiki kitty is NOT like the other 2005 items we have had in the past, nor it is like most of the 2004s, except the fuzzy seal slippers. Note that the seal slippers would have been worth even more if they were not an addition to the chickie and bunny slipper line.

I predict that we may be lucky to see ONE more item this year that has similar mass apeal, and if we do, the kiki will actually drop; in the same way the angelic pendant/horns and slippers items compete.

Frankly, the chain wallet and emo bags aren't that popular and are over priced because someone wanted them to be expensive, to fill in the 04-05 nitch. I've had a terrible time selling them in the past and do not plan on purchasing them frequently, if at all, in the future.

03 letters do not sell well either. The items in 03 letters sell faster than the letters by a drastic margin.

I'm sure I could quote a few cliches about how "History repeats itself" and how to judge the future by the past. I mean, that's what my Market Trends chart was about, heh.

I predicted a few things too, and thankfully I caught on in time to make some money with them. What I have learned about predicting actually... is that the market is based more so on popularity than anything else. The more (or less) popular something is determines the huge jumps/falls we experience.

People on Gaia are crazy. Plain and simple. So things get out of hand, and that's the way it tends to go. Hysteria is the other word that comes to mind, but anyhow, what I mean is, like with the massive inflation we suffered during the gold/events glitch, it showed that popular things go up rapidly in price, everything else is slow in comparison. This is ignoring the 2003 items of course, those are just out of control as it is, that's their nature.

When I made my chart I saw how some items kept jumping, they didn't stop, while others fluctuate or rise slowly. Popularity IS the number one rule of business (so says me xp ) "Popularity = money." I came up with that a loonng time ago.

So what I'm saying is, popularity affects price jumps, and continual rises and falls. Take the labcoats for example, they go up and down. The fish hats, up and down. But the Kiki kitties, lion masks and others just never stop.

When predicting, stick with the popularity of something. That can be observed by watching how people react to it over the short term and long term. (I thought the butterfly wings would stay high, but I was mistaken, and this was proven very shortly after they were released). Rarity and demand come second in my opinion.

Maybe R.I.P. could give items a rating on popularity, demand, supply and rarity? Just an idea.

the Admins told me they knew that when they planned on releasing the plushie that they were a bit cautious in the long run so they held off on releasing items that would be a big hit. The plushie actually has its own shirt at the cons, which reminds me somewhat of those girl shirts you used to see back in the 80s, like My Little Pony, etc.

Knowing that the Battle System is Aeons away, and the inventory item display feature is coming out, as well as housing, My best advice right now is prepare to place your house in a good location, because inevitably, that location will become extremely valuable. I am as of yet uncertain how a person would purchase multiple land plots without using mules, and if its not possible without mules, if the Admins will crackdown on the mas realtors in the future, so they dont just up and buy pop neighborhoods only to sell them for a bloody fortune.

Oddly, this is a lose lose situation for the poor. The easiest justification for allowing the rich to buy multiple landplots is the fact that the mule masters will already have multiple land plots. If a Developer, Admin, or Mod ever reads this, my question to them is, what are YOU going to do, when people who otherwise dont even use mules are economically forced to make mule accounts to break even?
