Logan smiled even more when Echo seemed happier, wagging her tail and smiling like she always did. It made him feel like everything was not in vein, everything he had done was worth it. Both of them were here, and safe now. If that wolf came back, Logan would protect them again with his life, not letting Croanyl lay a paw on either of them.
He tilted his head at both Echo and Ophelia, knowing they had a mental connection he wondered what they were saying back and forth to eachother. His wound on his shoulder felt a lot better since Echo had helped clean it a bit. It didn't sting very much at all now. But everything became clear when Ophelia crouched down beside him, Echo on the other side.
As if being able to read their minds he wagged his tail as much as he could and started to try and push himself up. His legs felt stiff and weak but he tried none the less. Though Echo nad Ophelia were helping him, he didn't want to lean on them too much...he didn't want any of his blood to stay on their fur. So he leaned on both of them yes, but lightly, until he could stand and took a few steps forward, trying to balance himself out a bit.
He coudn't put much pressure on his left leg, the one with the large wound on his shoulder, so he limped a bit every step he took. But at least having the knowledge that Ophelia nad Echo around to just steady him made him feel secure, "Shall we go to the den site?" He asked both of them, smiling at Echo and when turning to Ophelia his eyes seemed to say 'thank you' for at least trusting him this much. For helping him stand up.
Though he was in love with Echo, Logan at that moment realized something else. He was in love with Echo yes, but Ophelia was a part of his new family too.

Before the two females had found Logan, the runt had been frantic, thinking him dead. She had been breathing hard and fast with worry, fearing the worst. But now that they had found him, she felt much more relaxed. At least now, if that gray wolf came back, she would be able to at least do something. What exactly she would do, she wasn't sure, but she'd try anything to keep her loved ones safe.
Snapping out of her thoughts, Echo pressed herself assuringly against her mate, her tail whisking and bumping his to let him know that she was there for him and that she wasn't going to fail him. She, with the help of her sister, would get him somewhere safe.
"Thank you, sister," she said, almost in relief. She knew that the male wasn't on the best of terms with Ophelia, and she had been afraid that she would have to move Logan on her own. But when her twin had gone over and supported Logan's other side, she had known then and there that she had her sister's aid.
As Logan moved forward, so did Echo. She matched him step for step and made sure that she was ready for him just in case he suddenly fell over. As they moved, she thought. "We go to the den," she said aloud, nodding slightly at the male's words. That would be their best bet for now. Afterwards, they could perhaps get that large black wolf who owned these lands.
