How DO you cast a circle exactly? sweatdrop

There are many different ways to cast a circle.
One of my favorite ways is to make a ball of eneregy in my hands and slowly expand it outword. That is just one way. Another way is to use a wand or athame to dirrect your energy to make the circle.
Before I cast the circle I like to cleanse the area. I take my broom and sweep any negitive energy away. Then I walk around the circle with the elements. I normaly do a chant about each element as I walk around. Then I cast my circle.

When I've got people helping me out, I get them to light each of the candles in the corners while saying the name of the corresponding element, calling it to our circle. 3nodding
It's fun with more people, you can really fill their energy filling up and mixing with yours in the circle. ^.^

Even if they aren't lit?
Candles are just a means of focusing your engery. You can actually cast a circle on sheer visualization, but most people now-a-days don't have that sort of focus, so we use "tools" to help us out. =P

I'm reading a fictional Wiccan book right now, so I don't know if this actually works, but when the girl was casting her circle, she stood facing East and visualized a white light filling herself, then gradually spreading into a circle around her as if nothing evil could touch her.
Then she said:
By East and West and North and South, I cast this circle three times 'round. By Air and Water and Earth and Fire, I consecrate this sacred ground.
o_O Does that work?

Won't know unless you try. :3
Like I said, it can all be done with just visualization. Do you ever actually see the circle when it is cast with tools? Nope. This shouldn't be much different.

For Earth it would be something like. Earth, North, Green, FretilitySome are easy like that, and some are more complicated. It all depends on my mood and what I feel like doing.

My common/fast way is to raise energy within myself and create a ball from my soul and then expand it outward. Or I just visualize the circle after I rose the energy.

That is what I kinda do, but I have the enegy in my hands. I love how it feels when you hold the ball. When you try to bring your hands together the energy wall stops you unless you asorb it into your body or a tool.
