San Fransisco and Videogames have now got their very own "walk of stars" (similar to hollywods stars in ... just FYI...) More information can be found here, Walk of Games

My personal favorite hero, (LINK!) among others can be found their that include...
arrow Mario
arrow Shigeru Miyamoto (Zelda, Mario & many more creator)
arrow Nolan Bushnell (owns multiple patens on the basic components found in your systems)
arrow Sonic! (after the Dreamcast failed he moved to GC and GBA, so he's part of OUR family now! mwahaha!)
arrow Halo the game (it got a star for some reason... i don't really get why Halo got a star over Half-life... but w/e)

rolleyes Halo doesn't deserve a star over...

Wow... It really doesn't take much though to think of a single game, but I can name a plethora. Samus Aran (Metroid) would be an easy first choice over Master Cheif (Halo). What I love is that Halo got "Game of the Year" from a very biased site, and Takt of the Wind got many more "Game of the Year" awards from sites such as GameSpot that very same year wink

Panzer Dragoon Orta and Crimson Skies (just to name some X-Box titles) were much better than Halo.

ditto, i own halo for the PC and yes its a new spin on FPS true. But Half-life really brought the FPS industry AND the gaming industry to a whole new level!

Halo is a good game but for the love of all that is holy, i wish people would stop acting like it was the pivitol point in the relm of FPS's. It wasn't the greatest game ever created. I agree with everyone above me. There are alot of other games that deserve a star.

O_o

We can discuss, until Doom's Day, how much Halo doesn't deserve the star, but, the truth is, that most people will point to Electronic Gaming Magazine (the most anti-Nintendo magazine in a long time) and brag that Halo got "2003 Game of the Year" -- an honor it most definatley doesn't deserve.

I like GameSpot's 2003 Game of the Year award. Panzer Dragoon Orta got the number one spot for X-Box. Dark Cloud got the number one spot for the PS2. Golden Sun got the number one spot for GameBoy. Wind Waker got the number one spot for the GameCube and overall!

When those games were placed next to each other on the "top five" list, it came out in this order:

1) Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker (GameSpot's 2003 Game of the Year)
2) Golden Sun (GameSpot's 2003 Game of the Year Runner-up)
3) Panzer Dragoon Orta and Dark Cloud

I don't recall the rest because I don't remember ^_^

I do know that Halo was ranked number three among 2003 X-Box titles ^_^ Take that fanboys!

Absolutely loved the Golden Suns; they so deserved that star! 3nodding Wind Waker: I've heard it's good, but I haven't actually played it. A friend said there really is no replay value on it, but that's probably the same with the Golden Suns.

ahem. nolan bushnell actually stole that stuff from a guy by the name of something baer, the inventor of pong. he had seven games which he put into the oddesy made by magnaovox. Nolan liked the idea and made the first computer arcade machine: Pong. after they made all this money Baer and Magnavox sued all the arcade makers because they had the rights to the technology of a computer reacting to different objects meeting:something involved in all games. a little bit of money still goes too Baer and Magnavox every time a game system or...well any computer product is sold.
