Eshmasesh I seriously had no idea that there were people that had children just because they like babies. That's the saddest thing ever. I guess they're suddenly not cared for anymore once they reach the preteens. confused It's like how people adopt little dalmation puppies, then get rid of them when they reach adulthood because they're no longer cute wittle puppy doggies.

Freedom Fire Eshmasesh I seriously had no idea that there were people that had children just because they like babies. That's the saddest thing ever. I guess they're suddenly not cared for anymore once they reach the preteens. confused It's like how people adopt little dalmation puppies, then get rid of them when they reach adulthood because they're no longer cute wittle puppy doggies. This kind of thing--adopting puppies and having babies, then ignoring them when they stop being puppies and babies--really makes me sad. I don't even like babies that much, but the fact that people will have a kid JUST because they like babies is such a self-centered, insensitive thing to do. This is one reason I hate that the media tends to portray babies as fun to play with and happy little balls of sunshine. Because while some may think babies are cute and precious and all that stuff, babies also function like normal human beings, they just can't take care of most of it themselves. And once the kid stops being a baby, its parents won't care for him/her as much because he/she isn't a baaaaybeee anymore.

Oh, and on another note, Dalmation doggies, typically, do not make great pets -- this is especially true if you have young children. 101 Dalmations is a great movie; but, I hate that it portrays Dalmations as such obedient and loving pets -- it takes a gifted trainer to make them that way.

Sounds like the only reason they WANT kids is so they can gain more members of thier sick little cult.
I call bullshit. I find one of those bastards someday, I'm smacking him.

MipsyKitten Oh. Dear. Gods. I skimmed through the 101 list. All I saw was 'god, god, god, god, god, god, lord, heaven, god, jewel, god, god, bullshit, god.' I think you only saw that because that's all there is on that idiots' list.

I support their right to an opinion, but I do not share their veiws. I won't condemn them for their ideas. My mum has, generally, the same ideals. (I only thank Asmodeus that I got out of that mind-frame at the age of thirteen, and became pro-choice shortly thereafter.) But I still love her. She's my mum, she's entitled to her opinions, and if you don't talk to her about political things, she's a very very nice, careing person. Fun as hell to be around as well. My point is that you should not look at a pro-lifer and automatically lable them horrible, sick people. Just misinformed. Chances are if you put politics aside, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference from a pro-lifer and a pro-choicer.

Not in general, but extremists like the one that typed this list are usually easy to peg with about three seconds of conversation.

I would like to quote Bender from Futurama. "Oh Your God!"
You know, my grandma had seven kids but I really don't think it was because "she could." That is the type of person that makes me never want to have sex and ADOPT over as many children as I can. I mean, I believe that the world is already overpopulated and that people should have like... three kids at most. But that is someone who clearly needs help. It also makes me want to kill every person like that just so they WO'T have any more children. burning_eyes
