Spliced - Cronus #005 -- Bliss Bliss, the Absol, has displayed subtle changes, but no less interesting. Subject #005 has exhibited the following physical changes thus far: extra digits forming from her paws; elongated, shifting spine. Behavioral changes will be observed and documented at a later time. From a safe distance.

Something was wrong. Very, very wrong. She sensed it, knew it was coming. But the severity, just what it was... That much, she couldn't tell. It was always that way. Sense some impending doom, go to it, and likely get caught up in the mess. It was a vicious, dreadfully annoying cycle, but one she was stuck in nonetheless. But she knew, she wasn't sure precisely what it was, but she knew it was coming.
And it most definitely came.
What truly confounded her was why she could see it happening, could watch it with her own two eyes, yet could not feel anything. An entire extra claw... Not on just on one paw, either, but on every last one. She watched each one grow, slowly at first, but rapidly becoming longer and longer until they were fully developed. She didn't dare try to move it before that time, however, concerned it might snap her out of whatever dream-like, painless state she was in.
"Hey, hey, is something wrong, ma'am?" Orange eyes popped open from beneath a blanket. The small Pokemon beneath began venturing out, wondering just what was wrong with its 'mistress'. "It's nothing. Stay there." She ordered quickly, not wanting anyone to see her charge. There was no need for it -she knew what would happen if they did. He would be taken away, and... What seemed to be happening to her would befall him, as well. No, no need for him to be captured, as well, even if he technically already was.
Anger rising, Bliss began her trials to see what these claws could do. She could walk almost normally, even with them, and they moved correctly, as well. However, they got in the way, trying to provide balance to a creature that had coped without them for all her life. They were annoying, at best, but at least not a total waste of her time. Not only that, but it was harder to walk, as well. Her entire back seemed to be misadjusted, and no matter what she did, she could not fix it.
Were the small orange Cacnea not present, she wouldn't have hesitated to shot attacks in all directions in an attempt to get her answers from whatever humans happened to be watching her that day. However, they were lucky this time. But they would not be lucky for much longer. She had to speak with Charcoal at once.
This news was more urgent than anything either of them had seen over the entire duration of their captivity, she was sure.
