INTRODUCTION
Hello and welcome to the LRPA. Whether you're a non-member looking to join the guild or a new member looking for a little guidance, this is a good thread to start. The "Welcome Pack" will cover the basics - what you should do to get into the guild, and how to stay in the guild once you're in.

RULES
1. Adhere to the Gaia TOS, the Rules of this guild, and the guidelines of the threads you post in.
2. Spamming is not permitted. Yes, we have a subforum for OoC topics. No, that doesn't mean you can post whatever you want there. I highly encourage topic creation, but also common sense.
3. Respect your fellow guildmates. This doesn't mean you have to agree on everything, it just means that we are all human beings and we all deserve to be treated with respect. Try to solve conflicts without flaming or derogatory comments. Slurs of any kind are not permitted or tolerated. Harassment is also an issue here; if someone asks you to stop something, do so. (Also, if you have any concerns about regarding a guild issue that you are nervous about addressing directly, please contact a member of the crew or the guild captain.) What this boils down to is the golden rule. If you can't be polite, be civil. And if you can't be civil, be quiet.
4. Proper grammar and spelling are encouraged even out of character. Everyone makes typos, but if you can write well enough to get into this guild, let all your posts reflect that.
5. Please respect the Captain and Crew. If you disagree with something one of them has done, such as what you believe to be an undeserved ban, contact another member (or, preferably, the Captain -- unless your issue is with them) and we will try to work it out civilly and without bias.
6. Be active! Why join a guild if you're not going to stay in and have fun?
If you are caught breaking these rules, you will be warned (depending on the severity, you may also be banned). If you then continue to break the rules or refuse to cooperate, then you will be kicked out. It's as simple as that.

First of all, I suggest checking out the RPs and posts in the "New Roleplays" subforum. If you believe that you are up to par with our current member base, then continue, but if you can look at your writing honestly and think that you may need to improve a bit... I'd suggest doing that before applying. Nothing's stopping you from dong so anyway. Heck, you may be surprised... and anyone who is intent on improving gets a proverbial gold star in my book. smile But, there is a standard within the guild that all members must meet.
First, send a guild application. This is your first impression, but don't get too freaked out about it. Just say why you're interested in the guild and, if someone referred you, their username. Immediately, send a PM outlining either an RP sample or a link to something you've RP'd in to the guild mule, LRPA Forum Phantom.
Accepted? Congratulations and welcome to the guild. Accept the friend request from the guild mule. Introduce yourself (most of us don't bite), post in the OoC thread, start or join an RP -- have fun and enjoy your stay. :3
Declined? Read over the reason. It might be something trivial, like forgetting to send a friend request to the mule. If it is, send your application again as soon as you want. If it's not, you must wait at least two weeks before applying again. If you think you were unjustly declined, a nice, polite PM will suffice (rather than a string of flaming, angry ones; those'll only get you permabanned from the guild).

ADS The official ad thread of the guild is located here. Please visit and bump occasionally; once per day is ideal. Don't go crazy, or the thread'll get moved to the CB. And there is nothing sadder than an ad for an exclusively literate guild in the CB.
Also, any banners will be posted here.
