Well really females are just in charge. No Drow male or female is really recessive. Even when following orders they have their own agenda to tend to. Males can gain power among the houses of the spider queen, but it is harder in a matriarchal society.

i take back that miscomment on the lifestyle of the drow sweatdrop i was mentally fatigued at that time but yes it is possible for males to move up as well like archmages for example and also as well as the patron father but those were mostly of lesser houses lol sweatdrop or something along those lines sweatdrop
