Just thought I'd squash a few things onto one post here. Well, first of all *Jar Jar voice* Mesa back! mrgreen I honestly didn't mean to be gone this long, but one thing led to another: an event on a different site that demanded my full attention, searching for a new job because my boss is becoming tyrannical, having my computer go crazy and require an entire system purging and reloading, and jumping off a swing like a silly idiot and tearing the ligaments in my left foot the day before my 23rd B-day. xp But now I'm back and ready to commence with the pestering. mrgreen
As for the topic, my favorite alternative Christian pointed this out on her website; if I had laughed any harder, I would have had a few ribs to match my foot. blaugh And as she said before she posted this link, 'If this is your first time viewing this, don't forget your sense of humor!' wink

And for the discussion, what are all of your thoughts on this game?

WELCOME BACK!!!!! xd xd xd
That video was hilarious!!!
And I've never actually played DnD. But I have played similar games, and they're fine in my opinion. I don't really see the problem with dice RPG's. People get all crazy about it and say OMG DEVIL!!! But I mean, if your kids can't tell the difference between reality and make believe, is it the Devil's fault? I think it's the parents' fault because they're never paying any attention to their kids which then drives them into this world of fantasy and make believe. I dunno, that's my opinion on the matter.

Muahaha, I love that video. XD
I don't play D&D as much as I used to, but I still love it. I think it's really interesting, and gives you the chance to make unique characters and, if you're DMing a game, a really interesting story.
Like Admirable_Mention said, so long as you're mature enough to realise that it's just make-believe, there's no harm. It's just like when people make a fuss about fantasy novels: It's FICTION, and so long as you understand that, it's perfectly alright.

It's all ficticious, and if people can't understand that, then shame on them.

I RP a lot, but I've never played a game like D&D with the dice and the little figures. I was brought up really sheltered (my Mom wouldn't even let Ninja Turtles in the house blaugh ) and of course was told it was evil and satanic and all of that, but now I'm seriously thinking about giving it a chance, if I can find some people to play with.

Yes, I agree with you guys on this one . . . as long as people don't get too wrapped up in it that other parts of their life (the important ones like holding a job, relationships with family and God, hygene, eating, sleeping and the like) don't fall to the wayside then it's all good yo. 3nodding
