[RP post]

Her eyes rolled about swimingly as she and consiousness finally began to join together again. Though still unable to see, she could feel just fine, though she was beggining to doubt wether her brain was in a current condition to actually know what it was she felt. It was cold, and where she lay wasn't all that comfortable.

Sloppily moving her hand to her head, she rubbed one temple while still laying on her side. That must have been some party last night. That's why she went to them after all, to get herself as plastered as humanly possible. At least then she forgot, even if it was just a little bit.

As synapses began firing at a quicker rate, she realized she wasn't at a party last night, or at least she THOUGHT it was last night... She was at the grave, for it was the anniversery of...

"Where the hell am I?!" she shouted, sitting up all of a sudden, which she realized wasn't such a good idea as dull pain and dizziness took over once more, making so she had to rest her head on propped up hands.

Far out of Raena's reach, especially in her current condition, a motion-sensitive security camera whirred to life, silently turning in her direction.

Not far away, a monitor blinked simultaneously, now displaying the image of the poor girl, head in hands, sitting on the edge of her cot.

"So...she's finally awake." A figure in a sort of security uniform, or so it seemed, spun in his chair to look at the screen. The chair squeaked loudly as he leaned back with a smile. "About time."

Reaching over to touch a small intercom button, he leaned towards the mic and chuckled. "#007 has decided to rejoin the land of the living, sir. For the moment at least." With a sinister smirk, he released the button and leaned back in his chair, resuming his watch over the other monitors.

[RP response]

Her head spinning, she could feel herself swaying in and out of remaining awake. Still, she remained diligent, taking in deep breaths to try and ward off the spinning, and it seemed to be working as the fuzz from her eyes began to lift ever so slowly. She could muster herself to look around, though it was obivious there was nothing much to see even in her blurry sight. The walls were gray and seemed to lack windows. Swell, just swell.

Though she felt that this was some sort of bad karma. She had locked herself away from others for so long, putting up so many walls. Now, she was in the prison of her mind, only it was real walls instead of emotional ones.

Served her right.

The door opened slowly and a man in a doctor's coat slipped into the room, closing the door quietly behind him. He carried a small medical bag in his right hand that he sat on the floor by the entrance.

"How are you feeling, my dear? Better, I hope. You were in quite a state when they brought you in."

The man pulled a chair over closer to the bed and sat down, looking concerned.

"I'm sorry. I'm being rude. It's only right I introduce myself before expecting you to talk to me. I'm Dr. Carl Hakan. I work here at CRONUS. You were found lying unconscious in the wilderness and brought here for treatment. Could you tell me how you're feeling?"

He smiled warmly, seeming genuinely concerned for her health and well-being.

Though the man's words were slightly slurred, she could understand the basics of what he was saying. Out in the wilderness? Last thing she remembered was being at the graveyard. How strange... but not impossible. Her assailant could have just possibly left her there for dead. It happened to people in the news all the time after all.

"Dizzy...and crappy Doc Heken..." she said with a woozily tone. "And forgive me if I didn't hear your name right... or said it incorrectly. Everything's messed up right now..." she said, still staring at the floor, waiting for the awful feeling to subside.

Dr. Hakan chuckled softly, smiling in understanding.

"It's 'Hakan,' but that's quite alright, my dear."

He took care to speak slowly and distinctly for her benefit. He shook his head slightly, reaching out to gently pat her knee.

"The dizziness should subside soon, but just in case, I might have something that will help you recover more quickly."

He stood, walking over to his bag by the door and rifling around for a moment before drawing out a small syringe. Taking his seat in front of Raena again, he spoke slowly to her.

"This is basically a multi-vitamin shot. You've been out of it for a while and we need to build you back up again. That's part of why you feel so strange. Your electrolytes are out of balance. In most cases, you would be on an IV drip for such a condition, but here at CRONUS we've developed an injection that produces the same result in a much smaller time frame. There is also a mild sedative to help you sleep more restfully and assist the recovery process."

As he explained the situation to Raena, he was already rolling up her sleeve and delivering the injection, working smoothly as he continued talking.

"If the dizziness doesn't subside soon, or if you need anything else, there's a button right there on the wall by that speaker. Press it and talk into the intercom speaker. We'll get you anything you might need."

Raena didn't even flinch as the needle pierced her skin. Though she was feeling better as the wooziness had begun to subside substantialy now, she knew it was going away naturally. Multi-vitamin shots don't help that quickly after all.

Smiling weakly at the now clear face of Hakan, she gave a meek laugh.

"Thanks for the help Dr. Hakan," she said, then peered around, then a few thoughts raced as her brain functions began to recover. "CRONUS? Never heard of it... where exactly am I anyway?"

"You're welcome, my dear. All in a day's work." Dr. Hakan smiled, putting away the used syringe. "And that's not particularly surprising. I'd be more surprised if you HAD heard of us, to be honest. CRONUS is a privately-owned and funded research facility, responsible for the discovery and creation of many new medical breakthroughs, such as the injection you just received. We do all of our research and development in this single facility located on an island far from the mainland. The seclusion is great for keeping away the press sometimes," he laughed, winking in a conspiritory manner.

Maybe not as fun, but it was nice to have an easy-to-work-with subject for once. Especially since most of the others had been so hostile.

((*toddles in with teh mule* gotta use her for more then just entertainment!))

Raena blinked as the seditives began to kick in. Groaning, she began debating with herself over what the doctor had said. An island? She was found on a freaking island? Now that didn't seem right, though it could be the drugs kicking in.

"An island you say..." she muttered, begining to voice her concern whether she wanted to or not... "And how, praytell, did I end up on an island? I doubt you would have shipped me all the way here just to make me feel better..."

Dr. Hakan tsk-tsked, frowning and resting his hand on Raena's shoulder. "You should really get some rest, dear. You'll feel better much quicker if you do." He began packing his bag once more, preparing to leave. His work was done here.

"Remember, if you need anything, just press the button on the wall and speak into the intercom speaker. There will always be someone listening just in case, so don't hesitate." With that, the doctor stood, taking his bag and exiting through the door, which clicked shut as it closed behind him.

[RP journal-Diary 1]

Diary~

I was given this to jot down my emotions and feelings, something about keeping tallies on the changes. I've given up on trying to figure these people out. They are all just so confusing.

Oddly enough though, despite the fact that I am here against my will, this place...has done me some good. I'm not as brooding and down on myself as usual, most likely because I need to depend on myself more here.

I've been reading a lot of Sherlock Holmes lately, most likely due to Samantha. She's so strong...I hope that I can be more like her someday...

I guess that's all for now...

[RP Journal- Diary 2 and Self rp Mix]

The room seemed dark...or more like the cell seemed dark. The only light that filtered in was the lone silver beam from the window from the moon that hung right outside the barred window. The light filtered down onto the floor, or at least it would have been the floor. Currently there was a notebook lying there, and a disheveled teen writing in it every so often.

Diary:

I'm reverting...I've locked myself away in this cell. I refuse to come out now...food is normally brought to me, and I find myself praying that it is laced with poison before I actually go about eating it. I'm afraid of myself, of what could happen to...people I'm around. I haven't talked to anyone in ages...I want to...but at the same time I don't...I just want to waste away...

Raena stopped for a moment, as if having a panic attack, or even a heart attack. After the episode she took in deep breaths and then struck her pen to the paper.

I hate what I've become...again. I don't want to live in fear, I don't want to feel like I deserve to die...I hate the feeling. I just want it to be like it was before...when I was happy...when I had a goal in life...perhaps I could ask the guards what I should do if I wanted a water section added to the gym... The measly pond isn't cutting it...He wouldn't be happy...to see me wasting away like I have.

Yes, that's what I'll do. I'll see if I can at least get a pool in here. I miss my water training...proper water training anyway. I haven't done it since he left...no...he didn't leave...he died. I need to accept that fact as well. We had a good thing going on, and there was nothing I could do to stop him from dieing. It was going to happen sooner or later...

Yeah...

[Random scientist recordings-1]

They couldn't stop her. They removed every sharp thing in the cell, started putting anti-depressants in her food, but they only lasted so long, and it only worked if she actually ate, but as all medicinces, they wear off, and as all animals in a cage...

...well, they catch on, I suppose...

It's always in the same spot she does it. One thin line across her left wrist. It's like she swipes whatever she has on hand across it once, just to open the wound back up. I think she's hiding a piece of glass from us, though like it matters. As long as she doesn't die, I suppose it doesn't hurt TOO much. Still, it's not a habit we wish to enforce. Still, I suppose it's better then her pulling it acrossed her neck, though we've had a few false alarms with her coming close to it.

The syrum would take effect faster if she would get more physical activity, but she refuses to leave. We fear that we might have to use force. We need this to pick up the pace...

Maybe tomorrow we'll be able to coax her out of her hole...

[Self RP-The Change]

It started with an itch.

Just a small twinge that needed to be scratched now and again. Nothing major anyway. She had other things to worry about. She was beggining to feel like she was going down her mother's path towards suiside, and yet try as she might to try and lure herself away from such things, the thought was always present in her mind, though now for different reasons...or more reasons perhaps. Being one's human lab rat would have a tendancy to do so on an already emotionally disfunctional young lady after all.

Still, as the days passed, the itch grew stronger, sometimes causing her to itch for hours with no relief in sight. She even asked her gaurds, and the scientists that checked in on her every once in a while if they could bring her something to soothe it, but the guards mearly shrugged and the scientists just wrote something on their clip boards and walked off.

Then she started getting sorta dizzy. She really didn't want to move, as the room would spin when she tried. She spent most of her time during this in bed, moaning when awake, but peaceful when asleep, so she slept often.

Then, one day, she awoke. The dizziness was gone, but the itch remained, but it didn't itch like before. Now, it felt as though parts of her skin were too tight on her body, and it almost burned.

'Water' she thought imediately, and headed off to the one corner of her cell that had an enclosed shower. She always used it sparringly, seeing as she knew that there were more than likely somebody watching, but still, her skin yearned for cool water to be sprayed on her skin. So off went the clothes and on went the shower.

Oh, how good the cool water felt. As she stretched out, she caught a good look at her hand. There were...flecks of blue being covered up by something. Bringing it closer to her face, she saw it was her own skin that was covering up...whatever it was. Morbid curiousity kicking in, she scratched at it with her other hand...and the skin peeled right off! She was now looking at a couple of blue reptillian like scales on her hand. Looking around, she could see other flecks of blue dotting her like a plague. Grabbing the sponge now, she started srubbing like something possesed, at first peeling off the skin that wrapped around the scales so tightly, but once she got all she could reach, she started scrubbing at the scales themselves, hopping that they would come off. They didn't, and she discarded her sponge and started using her fingernails, drawing blood she was scratching so hard.

But they were growing from her. They wouldn't move.

Even though the room was padded to reduce sound, scientists from at least fifty feet outside the door could hear her scream.
