Hi!
While working on the virtual library for Alexandria (my guild) I managedto get ahold of the Tanakh, and several other texts, some related, some mystical in nature, however, I have not been able to acquire an etext version of the Midrash, only extracts thereof.
would anyone here know how to get ahold of it? A physical copy would take a ludicrously long period of time to transcribe into html.
if there are other texts that I should be adding, I'm open to suggestions. - Been trying to keep the texts more "traditional" and "rare" and working on the historical texts at the moment.
Not having been able to add the Midrash at this time, I added the Q'uran about 10 minutes ago, and will probably add Sufi texts to go with it, though I'd prefer the Midrash and Tanakh be near the Septuagint and the Letter of Aristeas. 3nodding
Then I can toss the Q'uran next to Sufi texts, and Arabian Nights (which makes heavy Quranic references)

Not to be rude, but I'd file the Qur'an in the trash............Oy vey! It's worse than Mein Kampf and the Communist Manefesto together. Ever read what it says about Jews?..Examples Surahs 5:41-42, & 5:51. The Qur'an is without a doubt the most anti-semitic book in existance.

Actually I have the Quran both in Hebrew and in English along with New Testament, Tao te ching and other texts, I havent read all of it though. my opinion is that it had been changed thru the years just like other texts including the Old and New Testaments. as for Sufi texts.. rock on smile I love Rumi

I didn't think a midrash was a book, but a little story made up by Rabbis to help explain something in the Torah.
Oi, I have a headache now.
