It wasn't that she had a problem with the shade that trees provided, no, in fact she appreciated the shade they provided but she did not appreciate the fact that they contained what appeared to be rather delicious looking prey and she couldn't reach them.

Today was of no exception and as she reclined upon a rock that jutted out from the vast 'wasteland' which was the Savannah she couldn't help but grit her teeth in agitation. Tail swaying from side to side, she kept her acid green eyes fixed upon the set of rather thin and ragged birds that remained perched in the highest branches - it was at times like this that she wished she had the skills of a leopard.

Well...perhaps in a few minutes they would landed and try to pick up the fallen seeds on the ground at the base?

Step.....step....step....stop....step...step...step...stop...

Those were the movements of oddly colored maned wolf. Her yellow orange eyes stared off into the distance looking at nothing. They carried a dull look to them as she moved step by step pausing in between. That was when she noticed the other perched upon a rock.

Siria'Chunuka however did not show any signs of seeing the other. It was the strange thing of this maned wolf. It was rare for her to be the one to speak up first. Then she stopped not to far from the lioness as if she was studying her for a moment when she suddenly spoke.

"Hello." The tone of her voice was emotionless, and was monotone.

The ears of the feline flicked absently as she heard the words of the maned wolf from behind her. She had to mentally commend the creature for demonstrating such prowess in stalking her but another part of her was rather curious as to why she possessed such an odd tone in her voice where most others contained some for of...

Of...

Emotion...?

"Afternoon." She responded in a level voice as her acidic gaze flicked towards the maned wolf to appraise it, pausing briefly over the striking green before she at last lifted her gaze to the wolf's eyes.

"Interesting coat." She murmured finally.

"It is the color of ones pelt that makes one, such as myself unique." Was her reply to the murmur of the lioness. Her tail swayed back and forth as she stared at the lioness, or rather as it looked, stared past the lioness. She made no motion to move forward, she remained where she was with not a single part of her moving except for her tail, and her maw when she spoke.

"What brings one to a place such as this?"

"Food." She never was one for overdrawn answers and had always preferred the more simplistic approach, this was perhaps why she was considered antisocial and difficult to approach but no one ever complained about her taking up their time or being terribly vague, after all, 'food' pretty much explained the situation.

"Yourself?" She enquired, curious as to why the maned wolf was alone when she often saw them in pairs at the very least, then again this was an odd one who...was she even looking at her or passed her into the tree with her food in it?

"...And the birds are mine." She added darkly.

"I have made a promise to one of a colorful mind, that I would help her and am currently searching for those who seek a home, but do not have a home to go to." Siria then paused in her words to take a breath before continuing. "Yet you are one of the only lions I have come across since then."

"You can keep the birds, I have no need for them." Was her response to the other.

Bahati seemed remotely confused by the words that came out of the wild dog's mouth, she couldn't quite comprehend what the creature meant. Her face contorted into a rather unreadable expression and after a few moments she released a small snort of dismissal, deeming whatever had been said to be too trivial to think about.

...She'd just make things simple.

"You are helping a lion to track down lost souls?" She enquired flatly, her tone rather dubious as though the concept completely evaded her. "Why in the name of the gods would you do that?"

Lost souls.

Interesting way of putting it. "In some aspects yes. That is exactly what I am doing." Then a pause as she listened to the other speak. "Why in the name of the gods wouldn't you? If you are seeking to find those who have no home and offer them a place to live and others to be around why wouldn't you? Do you not want to be able to feed without many problems to go without starving?"

Ah the perfect question. More soon followed "Do you not want to be with others? Do you not wish to have a place to call home?"
