... Meeting

Stellata...
The gently and quite voice spoke to the oak spirit. Warming even though he could only speak through to her mind.

Yes?
Stellata looked up from the twirling grass blades between her fingers. Wisdom at such a young age could be sensed through the very sounds of her voice.

Tell me about this place..
Vin mumbled slightly, wanting desperately to understand this place more than what he could see.

I don't know about this place, I can sense living creatures... about, but that’s it,
The tiny spirit returned to her twirling of the grass blades between her fingers. Building completely nothing out of the blades.
I'm new here as well, but I can feel a place full of life!
Stellata smiled, rubbing at one of the branches upon her head.

Thanks!
Vin whispered. Moving his cloudy form around the tree that birthed the spirit known as Stellata. Examining every knot and strip of bark. Examining what made the tree. Reminding him of his own place back in his own world.

How did I die?
The Guardian spirit whispered to himself, quietly enough that the tiny spirit wouldn't hear... but nothing could be kept from her.

Stellata lifted her head, but knew not to respond. The tiniest hint of his voice clued her in. Returning to her grass blade between her fingers.

Homecomings, PRP
----------------------------------------------

Relief washed over the teenaged Zahdl as the white light of the portal engulfed her bringing her back to a familiar place. The Barracks, the place she called "home" even though it felt more like a prison. Myu would much rather be out in the open where the air and wind lightly caress your skin, soothing you from any woes you may feel, but Nyx didn't want that...and Snow was nice enough to tell them of this place. It just seemed...right to live at the Barracks even though the very walls of the place seemed to take the air out of Myu's lungs.

Confining.

"Good to be home, eh?" Nyx sang as Myu stepped out of the portal. "I wish we could have enjoyed the festival more...but it was fun."

Nyx had been pouting ever since Myu segregated herself from the others. Myu was seriously no fun. All she wanted to do was think or do whatever she does, which don't coincide with Nyx's desires. A pity really...

"Good to be back..." Myu droned as she gazed about at the vacant buildings that made up the Barracks.

Home sweet home...or as sweet as it was going to get...

"My friend, I never caught your name," Stellata looked up from the wavering grass. The green of her eyes twinkling in the sun light. Dew seemed to be dripping from the branches that hung from her tiny and frail figure.

Vin shook his head and returned from his daze, "Just call me Vin" The spirit smiled, one could have seen the emotion if a bodily figure could have been seen from the start. It would take some time to get used to this... sudden change.

"Thank you, I have heard of these... barracks not to far from here. They home people like us," Stellata twisted her head and stared off in the direction that these so called buildings plotted.
"It would be a bit of a travel, but I would most enjoy your company out there." The young oak spirits filled with wisdom... and at such a young age.

"Yes, that would probably be a wise idea," Vin spun around his misty and cloudy figure moves through the wavering blades of grass, "Who knows what creatures might lurk in these hills!"

Stellata stood up, barely able to see over the grass blades. The two began to there quest for these barracks. In hope they might find a place of residency.

Moments, maybe even hours seemed to go by... but the two made it to the building. A portal occupied the center of the room. A light flashed as it engulfed the two bringing them to the inside.

"Wow" was all that Vin could speak. Everything in this new world was so much different, but yet the same as his own world. It was so much one could only take in. The young guardian knew at that instant that he would have to take the time to get more acquainted with this ‘world’.

Blinded by the same light that had previously brought her home, Myu slowly spun around to see who else had made their back to Avryn via the portal, but to her surprise, it was a Zahdl she had never yet met. Perhaps, this was one that Falco spoke of. He said there were two new Zahdl born. This had to be one of them...

Cocking her head slightly, the teen scrutinized the small girl with curious eyes. She was really...small...much smaller than Myu was, but that was to be expected. Though, Myu couldn't help but wonder if Snow thought the same thing when he came across the young Myu. Myu, herself, is about the same size as Snow was at the time they first met.

This time it was reversed...Instead of looking up, Myu was looking down...

"How cute~!" Nyx exclaimed as her aura seemingly leaned against Myu's shoulders. The air around the two became a tad warmer with the guardian's excited, which was quickly shooed away by the teen. It greatly irritated Myu that her guardian wasn't able to control her ability all that well. She has gotten better...a lot better...Myu could recall times when Nyx almost heated her to death, which caused Myu get even more agitated. That besides the point though...

Avoiding idle chit-chat that was soon to follow, "Who are you, and what's your business here?" Myu asked curtly, her monotone voice cut through the air.

Stellata looked up, no apparent emotion showing on her tiny green face.
"One would say," Stellata whispered, with an unchanging tone of voice.

Vin just chuckled lightly beneath his breath.

"We are here in seek of residency," Stellata shrugged her tiny shoulders, "We haven’t the idea of where to go and I heard of such a place like this that could possibly help us. Do you know of such a place?" Stellata gazed up with green piercing eyes. One could probably wonder how one so young acted so intelligent, but then again it must be the wisdom of the trees.
Stellata could sense the tension between herself and the older Zahdl.

Nyx couldn't help but let out a nervous laugh as this meeting continued. Not only did Myu start off on the wrong foot, but she was being rude to people she didn't even know. Though, in a way, it was to be expected. It wasn't like Myu was trying to be rude. It's just the way she came off as at times. She'd very too the point and blunt with the things she says and does. That...or she simply doesn't care.

"I see..." Myu droned nonchalantly, as her arms found themselves crossing at her chest. They were looking residence then? This girl was obviously a Zahdl, so she was a chosen warrior as well. An ally, but that means nothing if they can't fight or hold their own. Myu had done enough babysitting...

Giving the girl one last blank stare, the teen turned away and started walking toward the Barracks buildings.

Alarmed with Myu's actions, "Hey! They're asking for our help!" Nyx exclaimed as she frantically looked from Myu to the other girl. Myu wasn't just going to leave them here? Was she?

It was odd though, but Nyx couldn't help but think that the two were very similar. Maybe Myu had some secret blank expression code that allowed the two them to communicate. That would be...neat.

Stellata watched blankly as the young teen turned away. Obviously offended by her actions. The young oak spirit wasn't going to be having any of this.
"And where do you think your going?" Stellata shouted from her tiny frame.
"I have asked for your assistance and I'm expecting to get it!" The young girl packed quite a punch into her words.

Vin's eyes grew large in size... well if he had any they would have. Vin chuckled nervously.
"Stellata, obviously they aren’t looking to help any one," Vin's misty form turned. "Lets go look some where else!"

Stellata turned and faced her guardian.
"Vin, this place is perfect for us for the mean time." Stellata let out a slight cough, "We will just have to make due with what we can find." The tiny spirit shrugged her shoulders.

Vin sighed. Knowing he couldn't win a battle with this girl, obviously she was to bright for her own age.

Stopping in her tracks, Myu turned to face the girl called "Stellata". She thought perhaps she would get the hint to follow. She was heading in the direction of the building ruins. Maybe this girl wasn't too bright, or maybe Myu's signals were a little off. Either way, Myu didn't like the tone this child had taken with her.

"Are your legs that short?" Myu mused out loud as she eyed the girl once more. "Can you not keep up with my pace? I am showing you to the Barracks..." Her blank eyes drifted for a bit, but finally settled on the girl once more.

Letting out a nervous laugh once more, it sort of put Nyx at ease that Myu was actually going to help them. Shocker, really. It really wasn't putting Myu out, so perhaps that's why she agreed...well...not really agreed but was leading them to the Barracks.

"You didn't really agree to take them, Myu...We all thought you were leaving them behind..." Nyx sighed softly and let out another laugh.

Quietly Stellata began to mumble to her self. "Your brain must be as short as me legs then." Stellata looked up at the girl. With a shooing motion of her arms, the oak spirit began to tread behind.
"You sure have some good ways of letting people know what is going on!" Stellata mumbled.

Vin shook his misty form.
"Stellata, please. That’s not how we act!" Vin announced, following behind the small girl. Sensing the tension between the two. Knowing from the start the two would have the most difficult time getting along with each other.
“Show some common courtesy, after all… they are helping us!”

“Very well, show us to the barracks then,” Stellata smirked, “I thank you for your assistance and sorry for any problems the two of us have caused.”

Reaching out, Nyx extended her aura out so she was able to communicate with the child and her guardian. "It's no trouble at all." She chirped happily. It wasn't a problem at all. Seeing as the portal was basically near the Barracks, it really wasn't out of their way. They were going to heading there as it was.

Home sweet home.

"Anyway," The guardian continued in her same chipper tone, "I'm Nyx, guardian to Miss Serious aka Miss Doesn't-Tell-People-What's-She's-Doing.”

“Funny.” Myu droned coolly in response to her guardian's try at humor and "lighten" the mood. That was all she was good for...honestly.

Pausing for a bit, "Myu." She responded tersely indicating that was her name and the ridiculous nicknames that Nyx always came up with.

"I take it that’s your name then," Stellata stopped in her tracks. Looking up at the one who said a simple 'Myu'. Obviously taking it as her name, but something like this couldn't be passed up.
"Well I thank you for taking the time to help us strangers. Vin calls me Stellata" The tree spirit bowed in politeness.

"And you could probably take from that my name. They call me Vin." The guardian reached out with his own aura.

Her aura growing warm once more mirroring her mood, Nyx was grinning from ear to ear, or she would if she were alive. Even though she's been dead for awhile, Nyx was still getting used to actually being dead. She could do whatever she wanted without consequence since she was invisible. Thrilling and fun, one might say, but Myu was such a wet blanket that she didn't allow Nyx to have any fun. Not that Nyx truly minded since was really easy to please, but it was upsetting since Myu wasn't always like this. Not until after that day...that day in which Nyx can't remember...

A dark void.

"Pleasure to meet you two~!" Nyx sang happily as her aura darted back and forth around Myu.

It wasn't everyday that you met someone new or even being allowed to socialize with people. Myu really liked to keep herself away from others. There was no one that she was really close to. She used to get along with Nyx very well, but now...all they seem to do is clash with one another. Nyx missed the day where she was able to feel Myu...where she was close to her, but now Myu just seems so far away...

In her own detached world...

"Regardless, are you two one of the new Zahdl that was born recently?"

"It's a pleasure to meet you... two as well" Adding emphasis to the 'two'. Stellata nudged at her invisible wispy guardian Vin. "Right Vin?" The young spirit turned around and stared blankly into the void. Almost as if she could see his true former self.

"Yes.. it is a pleasure to meet you," Vin smiled... that’s if he could have really smiled, but a sense of joy and happiness rang off his every syllable. Even if they where only mental. "I hope we see you two around here a lot!"

I'm sure you will see us more." Nyx declared as Myu continued to lead the others quietly to the Barracks. Nyx was the social one of the two while Myu saw no point to it whatsoever. In the end, they were all going to be alone, so why not start now? It will save you from a lot of pain.

Say goodbye to them before they can to you. That was Myu's philosophy.

Continuing in her chipper tone, "Stellata and Myu are both Zahdl. We'll definitely see more of each other, seeing as they both have to save the world."

That is...if Myu didn't continue to push everyone away.

"But you probably don't know your role as a Zahdl yet..." Nyx mused out loud more to herself than to anyone. She had a tendency to voice her thoughts out loud rather than keep them to herself.

They had found out their "purpose" or, rather, their role as a Zahdl when they stumbled upon a temple and had first met Snow and Mag. It was here that they met Lady Perla, whom seemed to know more about them than they did themselves. It was very beneficial...

"My Role?" Stellata continued to follow after the two. The spirits tiny green head adorned with branches tilted to the side.
"I don't know what purpose of our being is here. I do hope that some time soon Vin and I do find out!"

Vin kept to himself. Not muttering a single word. Thinking to himself quietly. A lot of pressure it can be to be in charge of saving the world. Vin looked down toward the small spirit.

"What else is there to know?" Myu droned absently as she kept her eyes head of her. "We were chosen to save this world. That is all."

Saving this world, that was all that Myu believed in. Nothing else seemed to matter. Saving Avryn gave Myu a purpose...A purpose to keep going on. She was one of the chosen to save this world, and she was determined to save it...She was determined to save it no matter the cost.

"Eh?" Nyx started, "There's plenty more to know." But Nyx wasn't sure if they should be the ones to tell them. Maybe they were like Myu and needed to find out things for themselves instead of having it served to them on a silver platter.

"I can tell you don't want to be the one to inform us," Stellata piped up, hopping she didn't offend the two. "If you wouldn't minding sharing with us after you show us around. Just where I... I mean we would go to find out about such details, I would very much appreciate it!" Stellata nodded.

"I to would appreciate it. The sooner the better!" The guardian nodded in sync with the tiny tree spirit. What ever there path may hold for them in the future the two wanted to be well prepared for it.

"Well...we kind of found out on a fluke..." Nyx started as she let out a nervous laugh. It was the truth though. They didn't go out and try to find out who or what they were. All that they cared about was surviving and hoping not getting attacked by the monsters they saw. No...They didn't search for it. They were...sort of called forth...like...it found them.

It seemed like any normal day. Then Myu got this weird "feeling" that told her to go somewhere much to Nyx's dismay. Nyx didn't like it when Myu got feelings. Probably because it usually gets them into trouble, much like this time, but Myu would simply ignore Nyx if she complained.

No...instinct was what Myu called it, and she was determined to find out what called her.

Lady Perla was the one that called them forth. She was brewing up some magic to call forth Zahdl that were recently born, Myu being one of them.

"Lady Perla called on us...sort of, at least..."

Detached from the whole conversation, Myu finally came to a stop in front of the five stone buildings that made up the Barracks. "We're here..."

"Lady Perla?" Vin cocked his head to the side... that’s if his misty figure would have let him, but if one imagined such. Vin's words where filtered with concern and confusion. So much was different and unknown about this new world that it would take some time to adjust... but how much time?

Stellata placed her hands together and quietly focused to her self. "Hmm... so some one, a lady called you two forth and told you," The tiny spirit stopped mid sentence and took a deep breath. "your destiny and by such you believe the words of a stranger?" Stellata was quite unsure of what to make of this, but to believe something she would have to see it for her own.

Thinking about the words that Stellata had just said, the guardian was completely perplexed. This type of thinking definitely didn’t cross Nyx's mind when they found themselves in front Lady Perla listening to her explanation. It just seemed so right for it to be wrong...A lie. Plus, Snow was there too. He was a Zahdl too...This whole thing couldn't be a lie...

"Since you say it like that..." The guardian started uneasy before was interrupted by Myu.

Turning to face the small girl, Myu's blank eyes focused on those of Stellata. "I am not one to trust someone. I may not like Lady Perla, but I know she speaks the truth. There is just something inside me that tells me this. Instinct, perhaps...Regardless if you believe this, this is my purpose in life, and I will see it through."

Surprising to Nyx, Myu would have doubled guessed Lady Perla...She just played the instinct card again...Myu and her instincts. Nyx wanted them too!

"Interesting, I hope I get this chance of speaking with this lady Perla!" Stellata nodded. Listening to the sound and tone carried in Myu's voice. It was a voice of stern and strength. Something Stellata liked in others. Stellata nodded.
"Very well. Thank you!"

"I think we two need to get a bit of a rest soon." Vin added last of all. "We thank you for taking this time once again to assist us."

"It was no problem at all!" Nyx chirped happily to the two. "I hope you enjoy staying at the barracks! If you need any help, we are in the building with the feathers. Room Two, on the right side."

Showing them around certainly took their mind off of the summer festival. They had planned to go straight home and rest. That certainly didn't happen. It was an eventful day of "partying", if you can call it that, but also meeting new people, which was icing on the cake for Nyx. Though taking this all in was tiring. They all should rest. Who knows what tomorrow will bring.

Nodding her head at the smaller Zahdl, Myu crossed arms slowly fell limp to her side. "Until we meet again..."

With that, the teen and her guardian made their way to their room.

"Thank you!" Stellata yelled at the two leaving. Grateful for everything they have done and told them. It was good information and any information you can con out of some strangers was better than nothing. The two entered there room and the small spirit chuckled.

"You did good Stellata, we got some good information about this place and some future insight!* The wavering spirit of Vin nodded if one could only see it. Truly it was there plan all along to find a place such as this and gather some helpful information.
"Even though it was little information... it should help us greatly. We know we must find a man named Snow and Lady Perla! They could possibly help us out a great deal!"

... A Big Change

It had been a wild few days. The two first arrived at this 'barracks', then they met these two other zhald and a few others at the so called dangerous Halloween event.

"Finally we are ho...me.."

"It's ok Stellata... it is for now." Vin nodded.

Stellata stretched her arms out and gave a huge yawn.
"It has been a very.. very long day. Wouldn't you say so Vin?" Looking up at her guardians wavy figure near the window.

"It has been." The elf nodded. Staring out through the window and watched the scenery outside. Taking in the view of the variety of colors. It was all beautiful. One to many to explain.

"Vii...n"

"What?" The guardian spirit turned and looked over at Stellata. A bit furious from having to move.

"I feel... funny." A tingling feeling was soaring through the tree spirits body. From toe to the very tip of the branches that poked through her green locks.
Falling over from exhaustion. Stellata's body began to shiver as if effected by the cold... but there wasn't any cold.

"Stellata?" The misty figure wavered over the body. A hint of worry in his voice.

Suddenly a bright light flashed. Radiating from the source of Stellata. Lying limp and ill on the wooden floor, but as the light began to finally die down. A new form laid on the floor instead.
