This one of my favorites. ^^
Egg Drop Noodle Soup (Or what I like to call it... 6 Treasure Soup)
You will need:
1 egg (whisked a bit with chopsticks - do not beat) 2 cups water 2 vegetable bullion cubes (though any kind is good as long as its MSG free) * 1/4 can water chestnuts 1/8 can of bamboo shoots 1/2 bag frozen brocolli and califlower 8 drops of sesame oil (flavor) 2 servings of Kikkokin oriental noodles (1 1/2 inch diameter bundle or 4 oz) broken into thirds **
Add: snow peas, tofu or meat.
I usually make this with small cubes of tofu. Its really good.
Instructions:
Put water, bullion cubes, chestnuts, bamboo shoots, brocolli &calliflower, sesame oil all into a soup pot.
When the mixture reaches a rolling boil.... slowly add the egg drop by drop as you stir slowly.
Add the noodles and stir.
Reduce heat and let simmer for a few minutes or until the noodles are done.
Turn off heat and let sit until cool enough to eat.
*Note: If you want to make this more Japanese you can use fish broth flavoring. Most large grocery stores carry this. ^^
** Most large grocery stores carry this in the Japanese/Oriental food section.

theres also another good way to add the egg. you get one of those spoons with the holes in it and slowly pour the egg on the spoon while moving the spoon in circle motions around the pot, I hope that made sense sweatdrop
