((Oh well...small post)
The small arachnid erratically sprinted around the hall in strides similar to that of your average water-stridder. On more than one occasion it bumped into a wall, yet this time it bumped into something else. Something that radiated warmth, yet exuded the familiar sensation of steel.
Instinctively, the creature smaller than a golf-ball and lighter than a paper-clip, climbed up the leg of the being it bumped into searching for a patch of exposed flesh.

Run? The small arachnid was trapped within dark hell much like everyone else was. Can it actually run? Was it sure about its body? Could it actually feel warmth and something blocking its path? Nay that is not possible, not in this dark hell. And after two posts of what seemed to be idle waiting, Devonshka's sequence was at completion.
"hahahahaHAHAHAHAA"
The dark hell seemed to be decipating and all senses seemed to return. Yet when the characters received their senses they would realize that something was indeed amidst. Everything around seemed to be something of a mess. The arachnid had previously lined itself up between Yami and Devonshka. That was a mistake in itself, for Tetsado - the blade of metallic sand - completely overwhelmed it as well as pierce the body of Yami behind. No dodge, no block means perfect success. The two targeted bodies seemed darker than usual.
"Am I not merciful in letting you[plural] live? And you oh general Cross, dead people don't attack. Either it was you or an ally of yours. But yes, things are going to get rather interesting, haha hehehaha, HEAHAHAHHAAHAHAHA. Be readie~ my poupees, you now share the same fate as the abitto Souloe. AHAHHAHAHAHHAHA"
no death?... what does he mean by the words he spoke? Devonshka turned and Tetsado unsheathed itself from Yami's body to follow him. There was a portal and before Devonshka moved in, he turned around as though for one last comment.
"oh yes, and I do thank you for the nice sword."
Devonshka aimed to leave by the portal.

The small small writhed pathetically on the ground, its legs twitching every now and then before finally dieing out. Twas an obvious abuse of power, to impale a spider (which is no small feat given its size). Of course the more pressing of the two matters was that Yami managed to get hit, the other general could take a hit however the amount of injury was open for speculation.
"Leaving, so soon...you didn't even keep your end of the bargain, where's Vermillion"
The pools of blood that were still circling the field, immediately surrounded the portal (giving the hallway its once dainty feel again) and erupted like an upsidedown waterfall completely blocking any enterance/exit. In theory one could still charge right through, but that probably wouldn't end well.
"'Sides our fight never finished, I suppose it would be time to stop playing games"

"ah, you still don't realize it do you. Allow me to deliver to you a quick explaination. Number 1. The bargain was that if you can defeat this body in a duel without using magic or killing it then I might return Vermillion's body to you. However, the duel was never accepted in the first place thus there was no bargain to begin with. Number 2. You are in no condition to continue the fight, for you share the same fate as Souloe. But if you like to play...hahahaAHAHAHAHAHA, lets play!!"
Looking around anyone could see a few things in the hall. Firstly, there were blood on the wall and absence of them made by Tetsado during Devonshka's dance. Yet at the same time the lines seemed different from before dark hell. The spider was actually nowhere to be seen. rather than saying that it had been pierced, perhaps it might be better to say that it had been engulfed by Tetsado. Yami, he was the most interesting for after Tetsado unsheathed itself from his body, he did not seem to be wounded at all. Then there was Cross on the ground - apparently dead. Finally there would be Devonshka - and the overlaping figure that had the face of Souloe - holding onto the sphere from earlier and standing near a blocked portal.
"From the intrinsic strength and external power derived from goodness, from my element and more I summon the power of light"
The sphere began to glow with rings of light.
"Well? What are you waiting for? Come on come on come on come on!! Make your move!"

((said typo was in reference to Yamishiro's eyes landing on Souloe, not his actual body...))
Yamishiro's eyes widened as he took a hit from the sword, the blade piercing straight through his abdomen. Blood bubbled up through his throat and spilled out of his mouth. However, as soon as the hit had taken place, it was gone, leaving Yamishiro seemingly unscathed. He didn't care if this was a duel anymore...if the action was going to come to him, he'd take a piece of it. Of course he'd leave Cross with a chance to attack first. He turned to face the enemy. Bluish light gathered around his hands, but soon turned red with bloodlust, engulfing his body and waiting for the moment to strike.

"Fine, fine. But don't blame me for your "untimely demise"" The last part of the sentence held a definite mocking tone, as the phrase itself was sort of cliche.
The being jumped down from its spot, landing quietly on the far end of the hallway. He was roughly the same stature as Cross (although that would be redundent since he was Cross in a way), with seeming no skin (although the external structure appeared plated as well as [obviously] being pure white) and aside from a pair of silk karate pants, had no armor inherently visible.
However as soon as he landed he disappeared in a puff of smoke, only to appear behind the 'it' and follow up with a (weak) jab to the upper neck "One", with yet another teleportation to the 'it''s side with a (weak) round-house kick to the lower-torso "Two", followed up with another warp in-front of the 'it' to (weakly) elbow what should be the location of the stomach "Three", followed up with a final teleportation back to his original position.
He shrugged, "Move made".
The obvious irony of the situation was that although stating to 'stop playing games', to start off with a rather weak string of weak blows seemed far'fetched.
(Yet it would seem interesting to note by the observant, that [zombie] Cross was nowhere to be seen.)
((Heh, I could've been lazy and referenced Cross' demon appearance to the profile picture, but that would out of place...))

Yami prepared for battle. Cross also took Devoshka's words and made his move. By the time Cross made the light jab at Devonshka's upper neck Tetsado was already on the move. It was not a weapon for naught. In fact, it surrounded Devonshka initiating when cross had made his first teleportation. With each move done by Cross, time passed without fail. The first light jab made contact not with the neck but with his hair. Long silver hair with lustre equivilant to that of metals. If not anything else, it dampened the already weak punch in speed and in force. The other two strikes met similar fates at they struck Tetsado instead.
"From deep in Hades to the hearts of man, with my element I summon the power of darkness."
While Cross made his move a "dark light" leaked from behind Tetsado. The weapon did not wield the same color as metal. It seemed to have been tainted, by red. Stains of the previous gore remained on Tetsado as witness to the event.
Tetsado continued to surround Devonshka as it hovered in the air.
"If you should like to waste time, then do your own. I happen to have better things to do."
As darkness left the body into the room he turned around and began to open another portal. Though nothing could be seen on the other side one would begin to wonder, was he in a hurry? Was there something that required his attention immediately? Did he intend to leave just like that? As well, he seemed to have ignored Yami altogether....

((Bingo, the explosion was a diversion. And I've been getting a string of power outages due to the rash of snowstorms, so my posting'll be erratic))
"Who said I was wasting time?"
He had to give the guy credit for his defensive tactics, but they wouldn't really do much good at this point and time.
He snapped his fingers, yet nothing happened immediately. Seconds passed, and everything remained in its same stillness except for the darkred typhoon raging in its place.
Then sudden there was a brief flash from behind the enemy, and what followed was a series of lightning-fast punches and light in exact same fashion as Cross had done before (except with much for force, relentlessnes, and in a continuous loop). And due to the atatcks coming from behind the enemy shouldn't be able to see whom it came from (unless they had 360 vision, which was unlikely), but it couldn't of been (demon) Cross since he remained unmoved.

There was a smile, a wicked cursed smile upon Devonshka's face. One does not need 3D vision to perceive the world or even just what is behind. Especially when he was one who had the Onizan within his grasp. Regardless, the point is, the punches never got through.
"hahahahhaHHAHAHAHHAHAHA, oh my oh my, were you not listening ma dear poupee? You share the same fate as Souloe. Yes. So you have not realized it have you?"
Then, while - perhaps - Cross was wondering why the punches didn't go through at all, his own mouth began to speak.
"For you see, I left a present for you, and your friend also during our short time together. hahahaha, oh yes, the same that I left Souloe and the reason he has become my poupee. Did you never wonder why I simply left you alive? And him too, left him alive even though clearly Tetsado had pierced him?"
Then Yami's mouth began to speak.
"Yes, it was for this sole purpose. So you see, you can destroy Souloe all you want. He is, as you are now - only my poupee. You can say its a matter of...ownership. HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAA"
Then Souloe's mouth began to move once more.
"When I said entertain me. I meant entertain me. Dance my poupee, I'll be back for you, be sure you are ready when the time comes..."
With that, Devonshka walked through the portal and disappeared. He has gotten what he came for...and more.

Yamishiro appeared confused, even for his stoic face. He looked to Cross after Devonshka had disappeared through the portal, not exactly eager for his return. This was a most unpleasant predicament and Yamishiro was not partial to being a mere puppet in the hands of anyone other than those of pure evil. He quickly raised a portal, but hesitated at activating it. It would be meaningless to go after Devonshka in their current state, yet, would it be wise to return to Laos? Without Vermillion's body or any evidence of success, wrath would be their only reward. Nor would it be wise to return without knowing the extent of Devonshka's powers, possibly even leading him to the stronghold of evil. It was a strange dilemma to be certain.

Cross stared at the portal, long after it dessipated. He didn't technically know what to think, was it all a joke? A mere trick? He thought he had everything under control, yet....appearently it never was. He definitely lost his touch after that vacation.
"Don't think too much about it, it was probably just an illusion like that dragon did before, but in regards to Vermillion...I'm not sure"
He sighed, shook his head, and raised a hand causing all the gore in the hallway to gradually dissipate.
"I suppose it would be best to stop wasting time and head back..."

Yamishiro sighed and unlocked the portal. They had lost Vermillion and the others, Toleranth had returned, and some psycho was running around claiming control over other's bodies. It was never dull when one worked for the King of demons...He stepped through the portal and into Laos' throne room.

Things seem to have turned from bad to worse for Yami and Cross. Some psycho was running loose. psycho. They had lost Vermillion's body and now their own. A voice spoke within Cross's head. A voice that sounded like his own. Yet... An illusion? You don't really believe that do you? Your own mouth spoke the words. But what If it was only an illusion? Everything would be so much less dire. At least, then, all you have to worry about now is how to report to Laos.Deepzzzz ((I hate dancing....no dancing please gonk ))
