damn peoples Gaia aint much better
Yeah, but at least it's not as widely known. At least not where I am. I know of one person in my school who has a Gaia account, other than me. And people don't bug me every second saying "OMG, you should definetly get an account on Gaia!!"
Well over here Gaia was exactly like myspace is now I mean thats why I started talking on gaia. And the problem I have with gaia is its just a giant orgy for kids.
I lack a MySpace account as well..Though..I care not to join. MySpace is the single easiest way to stalk someone. I mean seriously. You can search age groups and regions. Some people even post the school they go to and their pictures..They proved how easy it is to stalk/track someone down using the MySpace on Oprah the other day.
Not to mention that most of what I've heard of MySpace is that it's just another Emo playground like VampireFreaks.com; which means that on the whole, it's way more emo and full of scene kids than Gaia is..and I don't know about you, but that fails to appeal to me.
neutral Mind you, on the other hand..Gaia has often made me want to gouge my eyes out. We have our idiots, trolls and jackasses by the barrel here. If you ever look through GD, you come to see very quickly how harsh, overly dramatic, rude and ridiculously closed minded some people can be. Not to mention the many times that people will purposely use chatspeak and purposefully try to mispell things..and how many people will yell at them for their lack of grammatical effort. Then there's all of the nonsensical crap that some people post. Another Gaian pet peeve would be that this site seems to be a touch childish, with it's layout and all.
..Seriously..If it wasn't for my Guilds, I probably wouldn't even be on Gaia. I've grown to dislike the actual forums somewhat. I've pretty much resigned to being a Guildie. But, that's where I feel most comfortable. I like my Guilds far too much to leave any of them anytime in the near future.
This is one of the few places online where I can partake in intelligent discussion about and learn more about topics pertaining to Psionics, Otherkin and other such things and feel quite at home while doing so. Perhaps it's because this place has started to grow on me to the point that I now feel a sense of belonging here, or perhaps it's just the people around here. Either way, I hope to be around here for awhile yet.
sweatdrop Erm..I'm sorry if my ranty post made me sound rude, arrogant, closed-minded, cruel, or something else unpleasant...and I'm also sorry if I went offtopic. It was not my intent. I was simply sharing my opinion on the matter of Gaia versus MySpace..and..yeah..I apologize if my ranting has somehow offended someone. >.<
