What is it that should separate a Christian from a non-Christian? I'm sure many Christians often complain about how non-Christians look at Christians and point out their flaws, calling them hypocrites. But who are the real hypocrites? Who gave them the right to judge? Doesn't Romans 3:10 declare that all have fallen short, all have sinned? The world's judgements make many believers afraid to make any move because Christians are "supposed to be perfect." I am not a robot. I am a human who will make mistakes. God is not interested in using perfect people. Isn't there more to a person than just their behaviours and beliefs? What about their personalities? Their background? I think you get the picture.
Questions, comments. PS if you find ppl are treating you like this, it is essential that you love them and forgive them. They don't know what they're doing! There is a reason for everything. Walk a bit in others' shoes.

The question was rhetorical.

The question was rhetorical. i'm not sure that calling the majority of Christians overly-bigoted, hypocritical idiots is the right way to go with this. when we do that, are we any better than them. we would be judging them as they are judging others. that is not our purpose. our job is to show others Christ through us and by judging others we are not accomplishing that. we are instead giving them the wrong impression of Christ. that is not what Christ calls us to do.

In Matthew, God calls us to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world. We are supposed to be different as Christians, just as salt is to meat and light is to darkness. We all have sinned, but Christians are different from non-Christians where you can see it in their lifestyle. They'll be happier, know that they have meaning/purpose, be kinder to people, learn to forgive, etc. Hope this answers your question. >.>

Ah, good! Some responses! I like the two last posts a lot. I'm reading the book "Communion with God." I recommend you read it too. You don't have to, but I think it's a good book. Anyways, this one part has God speaking to a person, and the person interprets God saying the following to him: "Mark, you love justice and do mercy. I love mercy and do justice." So in otherwords, we need to be merciful to everyone! Jesus commanded us to forgive others even when it's hard! We need to see each others' perspectives, not just our own. And, feel free to disagree, but it's also important to be able to forgive ourselves and accept ourselves as God made us. So, when we sin, we can be confident that God will forgive us when we ask Him to.
Now, Cometh and princess, I'll let you two settle things between you, but I want to say this: neither of you knows the tone (the feelings) that you are trying to convey in your message. That is lost because you can't see each other. So try to post assuming that the "other" person is trying not to offend you.

Well, in my personal experiences, Christians and non-Christians alike are on the same boat with judging one another and calling each other names and all of that stuff. While there are some in both categories that do neither of these, the majority of both do. It really pains me to see it happen.
