Sey laughed as she carried on a lively conversation with one of the Shades.
"No, it's not that I don't like wearing colors aside from White, Silver and Blue, it's that I don't get the time to go shopping since I'm doing so many other things..." She trailed off as she was carried off by Sunstrike and followed by the other shades.

A single shade covered in runes walked out of the camp. Soon the runes were glowing, and almost instantaniously after that the shade burst into dark matter. Then reformed into a hulking rook, even bigger than some before it.
With a roar the shade took off towards the overlook. Running on all fours like a primate.

Lenne walked out with a steady pace to her to her stride, coming to a stop infront of a few shades she would let her senses sweep over the land to get a feel for where she had to go. Looking at the few shades that stood there she would speak to them in a firm tone.
"Lets get going, there are things to be done."
The shades would wait to follow Lenne, as they prepared to journey out.

All the group of shadows following Lenne joined together, ready to head out.
"There are three places where our needs lie, apparently." The lead shade informed her.
"Out to the Plains and the Lakeside, towards the depot station, or protect the giant rook heading for the dam."

"Right off to the Bleached Overlook, then we shall see from there."
Lenne would tell the shades then she would set off while looking about some with her soft brown orbs, she would walk with a steady pace as she walked out of the outer rim and headed for the bleached overlook as that was were her senses seemed to be leading her.

V looked up from his place under neath the pillar where he had been sleeping and decided that it was time to go. Time to go out into the feild and gather some places to take hold of. So as V walked out of the camp edges he gatherd a doozen odd shades to go with him on his treck out to take hold of an area and camp it out.

"Allright boys, er, girls? Whatever you are, it's time to move out! Reinforcements are needed, and we're just the ones the reinforce... er, things." The heavily drunken monk fumbled over his own lines as he attempted to direct the handful of shades into action. He had taken two rooks and had them press-gang three bishops into joining them. Taking stock to make he was well prepped for just about anything, Kami gave the signal to move onward to the Bleached Overlook.

Stryphe and his three Knight comrades wasted no time bounding along the trail, the rocks and sparse plantlife around them just a big blurr.

Sunstrike moved through, following him were a squad of a dozen shades, headed by a single knight. There had been more word of the problem at the riverside, and another squad would be due to make it's way down the mountain as well, about twenty minuetes after the first with Sunstrike.

It wasn't long before he and the shades made their way out of the edges.

Eleven shades were hiding amongst the ruins. They were the first line of defence against any attacking enemies.
6 Archer pawns readied their bows. They would catch enemies in a pincer between two key ruin structures.
3 Crossbow pawns waited above the "Gates" of the shanty town, using their greater range to assist the archers.
2 Armoured Overseer shades took on heavy Arbalests as weapons rather than traditional great axes. While they were the slowest firing, they could be just as deadly with careful aim. They waited with the crossbow pawns.
Do to being mentaly alert, these shades could switch to their melee weapons at a moments notice.

The second set of shades to man the defences arrived on the scene. Ten pawns and three fire bishops had climed on platforms behind the shade's makeshift walls. With the exception of three, the pawns formed arrows, the extra three pawns went with crossbows. The bishops prepared firey magical explosives to throw.
Over the past few days the shades have been clearing out the ruins. With the exception of two forward walls shade archers are hiding behind, all the cover has been removed. Archers have clear shots at any one climbing the hill to the shade camp.
This also created two rock piles near the "gate" of the makeshift wall. Four rooks are near those two piles, two hulking shades to a stockpile of boulders. Guess what they'll be doing.
