I pray pretty often, mostly because I need comfort. And a lot of times speaking with a friend or my mom, I can't be completely honest, like I can with God.
And sure, God is going to do what is best. He has to let some bad things happen because it's for the greater good. Heck, if we were all dandy and cheery all the time, there would be no need for anyone to come to God, save out of fear of damnation. Which isn't why He wants us to come to Him.
He wants to know us as a friend.
