Ok fellow sound creators, I need a moment of your time and alittle help with something. Does anyone know any pedals that make crazy sounds besides your common flange, phaser, distortion, chorus, delay and such? Something like a pitch shifter, but just really nuts effects where I could just go crazy on them. I guess an example could be Tom Morello, but he has a certain way with pedals and whatnot. This might sound weird and crazy but I would like some help figuring this out.

what about a slap echo? or an echoplex? harmonise with yourself. or get a rotating speaker! dont forget about good distortion and overdrive! and you gotta love reverb.

Yeah, Tom Morello uses a digitech whammy pedal, it's a pitch shifter.
It's a nice piece of kit, and it's used in quite a few amazing songs. Muse use one.
What you really need to do is shop around, go out and test any pedals that take your fancy. Also have a look on all of the websites to see if there are sample clips. And go from there.

I remember reading an interview with Tom Morello in my Guitarist magazine, that said he used a tremelo, a whammy pedal and a wah, I think. confused

fuzz factory is a cool pedal to get crazy fuzz sounds out of. you can set it so it always oscilates (SP?)!

If your into DIY there are a few pedals that can get you some wierdass sounds (albeit they arent the easiest to assemble and get working correctly if your a total noob), just say so and I'll link ya'up. To lazy ATM.
