I was thinking of writing a fan-fiction about SP where a demon is duisguised as a hypnotist and hypnotises people to murder other people....I was also thinking Dean would be hypnotised and Sam would have to stop him or the people being hypnotised try and murder the Winchester brothers.If you have any ideas feel free to say them!

Tecnically a hypnotist can't convince anyone to do anything they consider immoral or wrong, but he's a supernatural hypnotist so go ahead!

Unfortunately, that sounds very similar to the plot of a Stephen King novel, called "Needful Things". However, if you stay away from the demon part, I think you could still go with the hypnotism idea! One or both of the boys being under hypnosis could lead to some very interesting character enlightenments....Plus, not ALL Supernatural storylines are about demons - some are just about evil people ^_^

The only problem I see with the plot is that it seems a bit Charmed-ish. As in, it's either a demon or a hypnotist with magic abilities that the brothers have to go against. Not that the idea should be scrapped but my suggestion would be to research into urban legends regarding hypnotism. Maybe there's some Chinese folklore or something that you could incorporate, making it more Supernatural-ish.
And good luck! I have a SPN plot kicking around but I'm trying to wait for NaNoWriMo. I'm so bad with writing stories ^^; I can see it in my head but it never seems to come out well on paper.

Sounds like you have a good idea- just write whatever comes to you- you can sort it out later. I just started my first Fanfic and I'm having so much fun! All my friends are like whatcha writin'? Can I read it? Why not?
Anyway- yeah, just have fun. What I do for a plot (if it doesn't come to me in the middle of the night when I can't sleep) is imagine an episode of supernatural I would love to be in, and write a character for myself. Imagine its going to happen, and put in whatever you would absolutely love to act out with Jared and Jensen. I try to purposefully avoid Wincestness, cause I find it annoying, but whatever rocks your salt!

I think the idea is rather cool! And I don't think it should matter if it sounds like something else - just remember, it's fanfiction, so you're ripping off characters anyway. xd Do whatever comes to you, because writing is writing; I've written so many fanfictions that are like everyone else's, but it doesn't matter. We're just here to have fun.

This is true. You make me feel so guilty though with the whole ripping off characters thing! Alas- my genious supernatural novel shall never be published! Whatever though- I'll just have to ship it off to Kripke! wink
