The group split off. 3 had gone after the shield man. 5 remained.
Of those five, one was pounced, and damn... that s**t hurt.
Another pulled out his combat knife and leaped onto the back of the tiger for a dramatic endgame struggle.
The other three took up a defensive stance, two men guarding, one man firing at hte archers.

Jacknife showed up on the scene. Help is on the way. He immediately backed up against the shed that the archers had been using for cover earlier. He peeked around the corner ever so slightly. Was he behind them? That could be a great advantage.

As he was rushing he thought they would meet his charge, a very good thought until the split to the side, the one behind spiting fire from a G36. He rushed and tried to avoid to right, still bearing the sheild in front, whne one of the bursts spits through his sheild and hits his left upper shoulder and he staggered in his run sidesteping to hopfully avoid it as he still dashed atthem useing a lsght bit more energy to at least slow or take a couple hits from it, the pain gone in his shoulder now nmb on his left side. positioning the sheild on his forarm he tossed two of the explosives towards them.

And the tiger went "RARGH!" and the man underneath him went "AUGH!" and the man going stabbity went " scream "~!
...in the end, Tiger dies, man underneath dies. Man on top of tiger survives, with a few scratches but otherwise triumphant.
The archers scattered, scrambling for cover. One got shot down. Two almost made it behind the toolshed. And one turned and fired an arrow blindly at the guy shooting while running like hell to the cornfield.

Close combat. Hell.
The two with the shields flanked Lee, the one who had shot at him fell back when the explosives were tossed, and ended up getting blasted along with a bunch of fertile soil. He rolled a little bit aways and bled.
As for the other two?
Gong!
They tried to sandwich Lee between the two metal pieces.

Oh dear god! His EYE! The guy took it hard, and fell over.
The two with shields ran around the shed, expecting easy targets...

They got them. Because shield + gun trumps bow + arrow any day of the week.
...Unfortunately, the guy heading toward the cornfield glanced back over his shoulder, noticed what the two with shields were doing and ran after them as they rounded the corner, drawing his bow with intent to shoot one of them in the back.

-> Blazing Plains
So, once again there was another battle going on. The assassin would keep off to the side, following the treeline as he headed towards the village. He wasnt stupid, and stepping on a ripped up muddy field would only expose him by his footprints even if he was invisible.

The two men who ran around to the shed would be met by point blank submachine gun fire to the face. Their shields would quickly be whipped away by three hundred pounds of force each as the guns continued to fire.

Ow. His face.
The other guy pulled back around the corner, drawing his sidearm.
