I love Gackt as a solo artist!! (plus in most pictures of Yoshiki he looks like a total Gackt wannabe =_=)

Gackt and Yoshiki are starting a band as far as annocments, and rumours have been spread. In his 2004 concert, on "his grave stone" it did say his "deathdate" was 2007. Maybe it was something that has been planned for some time now. Honestly... I don't think it's going to work. Gackt is to competitive, and after Malice Mizer thing... I didn't think he would join a band again... Besides, like I said, he is to competative. A downfall of Malice Mizer was he tried ot become to Powerful, and He wrote all of Le Ciel. He has complete control over Lyrics and Music as a Soloist, personally I don't think it will last that long, because it's just how Gackt is. He will want to do everything eventually.

I was at the Yoshiki panel thing at the con when he announced it.

Everyone around me went nutso when he announced they were going to make a band, and I just kinda sat there in disbelief.

I read somehwere a while ago the two might be touring the U.S. next year or something.

I'm not sure if I'll support their new band though, because I love Gackt solo and I'm not really a fan of Yoshiki. confused

He was the leader of the ever-so popular band X Japan after all... (plus hide was in the band, haha, I love hide. RIP.)

But still, he's corny looking (x.x to me, that is) and is like. Getting old for this stuff... Really, jrock is very active... And he's like, 45 now?

And I do prefer Gackt as a solo artist. I don't think he needs a band to be good (unless onstage) as a musician.

It maybe a bad idea for Gackt to be in a band, but it would be the only chance to see him perform in the US. I wouldn't miss it at all.

Oh, geez. That would make a really weird pair. A forty-five year old and...Gackt.

Meh, as long as Gackt continues to do solo stuff, I'm good.

Has anyone heard/seen any solid proof, though? That the two are in a band together?
