This article was very good, and I thought summed up pretty well why people have suddenly turned against Israel, and a lot about world opinions. Thoughts? Opinions? Comments, anybody?

Heh, in real life I've been ranting about this for some time. So many people are swayed by TV news, and so very very quick to jump on the hate-Israel bandwagon, it's disgusting.
It's not that I don't feel for hte people getting their homes blown up, or civilians getting killed in the crossfire and whatnot, but why don't any of them realize that if they stopped supporting hezbollah, or whatever terrorst organization, that Israel wouldn't be forced to march in and bomb the area? WHy don't these people figure that out!
I'll start feeling bad for the Lebanese when they stop allowing the Hezbollah to make targets of the women and children.

I've also made this point countless times to people, although there is one thing -- which I will definitely add to my argument -- that I didn't think of: how a lot of atrocities don't get reported by the American media because of the simple fact that Americans aren't really allowed to get a first-hand look at them. D'oh! Why did that not occur to me?
And yes, the tendency of the 'world' (and I use that term in the general sense, of course) to not react to anything until it is too late is really aggravating. A classic example of this is when Europe and America decided to be reactive instead of proactive in the face of fascism and dictatorship -- voila! WWII.
So many people don't realize that Israel can't afford to sit around and twiddle its thumbs... but I guess that comes with not having practically every radical Islamic group in the middle east after your tiny, tiny hide.
The least people could do, though, is make sure they vaguely know their facts before they open their mouths. rolleyes
