I was just wondering. Since Naruto has failed the Ninja Academy a number of times, he stayed back. So, that means, everyone who graduated left the academy and new students entered the academy. Let's say that most of the students in the academy are around 12 and they graduate around the same age.
Since Naruto stayed back, shouldn't he be older than the rest of the class in the year he graduated? And yet, when he graduated, Sakura, Sasuke, and him were all around the same age.

Already answered. Naruto joined far younger than the other Genin.

Good point, I guess it was something the creator failed to think about. ninja

Naruto joined the academy early and took the test more than the others because he was more ambitious.
