If the concert affects your future in High School, you should probably go to it.
I myself am in the same dilemma because my final choir concert is on the same night as an awards dinner for being in the top 1%. Yet considering that I will not be going into music and my choir director is a complete idiot, I'm going to skip it and get my plaque.
