if you're ever on sakray, try giving Trueblade a holler... My swordsman.. if he is still within level range of you by the time you do, we can even share somewhere.
Definitely head out to metalings... you can definitely stay there till job 40! Just head to Einbroch, and leave one South of it. Bring a titan dagger or a beholder dagger for them, the EXP is fast and easy. If they divest your weapon, just log out and return, you should be able to re-equip it.
