Full name: Roman Jonas LaFontaine

Past: Born in Aekea, the older of two brothers. His younger brother Connor is 18. Their mother Margaret died six years after Connor's birth. Roman's father Peter is a factory worker in Aekea, and expected his sons to follow him in the business. Connor followed willingly to please his father, but Roman opted to go to college with the claim he wanted to find a better career, but in truth just wanted an excuse to get away from Peter, who was verbally abusive towards Roman his entire life.
Roman went to community college, majoring in Philosophy because it was the cheapest program and the only one he could afford to pay for. After graduation, he found he had no use for his major and took to living off friends and doing odd jobs, refusing to go back home and become dependant upon Peter again. After four years, he came to live on Gambino island, sleeping on park benches and reduced to begging for spare change to get by.

Past: He was originally an inanimate stone gargoyle, keeping watch over a church's graveyard. After the death of a supposedly corrupt priest (Father Brophy), Father Wilburn brought the gargoyle to life with a rather gruesome ritual. It is now Leslie's responsibility to watch over the church and protect it from evil.
Although his body cannot handle anything but raw meat and blood, he spent his younger years learning to, of all things, bake from his father. He eventually grew to own his own bakery in Durem, near to the duplex he resides within.

We have it much easier (or infinitely more difficult, depending on how you look at it) than most. We are, in fact, bribing our dearest shopkeepers with 1 million gold to create our little test tube baby. <3
