Don't you guys love how Heero and Relena are constantly saying each other's names out of nowhere for no particular reason? It's those little moment's when I wonder what's really going on underneith the surface. 4laugh

Well Sayla and Amuro sort of had this psychic thing at the end of the original Gundam. And there's always been stuff about Newtypes in most of the Gundam series... For all we know, they really do have a psychic bond.

They do use the term Newtype in the series based GW manga. It could be along those lines. After all, they all seem to talk to each other in muted tones in situations when you'd think they'd need to shout. Of course, that could be bad dubbing, too.
Also, Relena never really introduces herself to the air. In both situations, she's introducing herself to Heero (or the Heero look-a-like in Ep0, depending on your view), only it's in her mind, and she's acting it out with her body. In a way, it symbolizes how one-sided everything was for them while he was trying to keep his distance, whether to deny the secret she knew or to keep her safe from the danger that surrounded him.
