"I'm Darsais," the girl offered. "You don't say it like you spell it, because it's spelled D-A-R-S-A-I-S and said Dar-Say." That established, she continued on to the topic of reading.
"Mystery novels?" she asked. "I've never read any of those. I like informational stuff about dance, and adventure stories. Pirates and knights and wizards and that kinda thing." The longer she spoke the more apparent it became that her programming reflected the personality of a slightly younger child, possibly, than the other two.
"Corporate losers?" she added, "Like stuffy no-fun men in suits and bowties?"

Kluster nodded. "Yeah, like that...except Herald. He sleeps in his office and wears CoCo Kitty pajamas."
Kluster cracked a small smile at the memory. Herald had woken up around the time that Kluster had taken one of his trips to ENCOM with his dad and seen the middle aged man with a coffe mug in hand and the clue pajamas. he wasn't all that bad of a person though.
He knew a lot of jokes and slept in his office because his house had something blown up in it. He couldn't quite remember Herald's reason.

Darsais giggled at the mental image that brought to mind. Pointing to her blue-skinned sister over by the fish tank, she whispered, "She sleeps in the the bathtub. When it's full."

Kluster looked over at the blue pixie thing by the fishbowl for a moment. Looks like a pixie, but sleeps under water? Weren't pixie supposed to not like water because of it wetting their wings?
"Um..." Kluster tried to pick his words carefully. "If you don't mind me asking...what exactly is she?"

Darsais shrugged. "She's a water sprite of some sort, but she's human sized. Don't know why." She leaned towards him from across the table like she had some great big secret. "You ever hear about how we were born from computer chips? She came outa a jar."

Kluster just stared at her for a second. Then to the pixie thing...and then back again. The current sitution was slowly going beyond logic, and that was disturbing. "She came out of a jar?...and she's your sister?"

"Mom says it's not any more absurd than us coming from computer chips," Darsais said with a shrug. "And she's not my real sister. Do you have any 'siblings'?"

Kluster shook his head. "Da's not married and says that he likes having me as an only child. Somethin' about being able to take care of me and my needs an' not havin' ta worry about someone else."

Darsais considers this proposition, but, barely remembering being an only child, cannot concieve being alone in the world. "Well, I guess that could work out," she shrugs. "Ever get lonely?"

Kluster shook his head. "Not really. Da sometimes takes me to work with him and I get to hang out with all of his friends and all the computers he builds. He builds little computers that can talk and they're really small. Like this." He held up his hand and formed a couple of his fingers into a small box shape about the size of a disposeable camera.

Peaseblossom slipped off quietly to check out her books, when her mother told her they had to leave. They left quickly not giving Peaseblossom a chance to say goodbye to her friends.

Darsais smiled again at Kluster and then looked towards the source of a distant voice.
"I gotta go," she said apologetically. "See yah around?"
She turned and hurried off.

Kluster waved after Darsais and Peaseblossom as they both left the library. The room of books was uncomfortably quiet without anyone else there to talk to him. The Kybernetik sat in the chair for a few more minutes, enjoying the silence for a moment.
He finally shrugged himself out of his half-trance and clicked the "Play" button on his Zony CD Player, smiling a bit as the J-pop music flooded his ears. He sat up from his chair and walked over to one of the bookshelves, pulling out a book at random. It turned out to be a graphic novel.
"Super G-Man vs. the Kraken" was the title.
Kluster shrugged again as he stuck the book under one arm and casually walked out of the library. He guessed he could spend some time at his dad's office.

A few days later Peaseblossom walked up to the Libary after talked to Doc about the Shakespear novels. She was interested in finding a Romeo and Julliet book, she walked through the isles and isles of books skimming over them until she found the Shakespear section. Running her fingers over the binding of the books until she found the thin Romeo and Julliet one. She slowly puleed it off the self putting the A Midsummers Night Dream book back where it belonged. Titania cutely tucked under her arm as she did so. "I found the book Titania, Now I can read this one to you. Hopefully you won't fall inlove with a guy with a donkey head."
