I've heard that if you are breast feeding then there is less of a chance of getting pregnant because your cycle is all messed up and because there is more estrogen running through your body.

My reason for stating this is because I have a problem. I am currently breast feeding my daughter. A few weeks ago my boyfriend and I were getting a bit hot and heavy and he stuck it in me (unprotected and without the pill) and thrusted 3 times before we came out of our lust-haze and realized how stupid we were. Sadly this happened one time after, with only one thrust. Since then we've been using condoms, but I am still really worried about the two times earlier.

My question being: in your own personal opinion what are the chances that I could get pregnant while breastfeeding from 4 thrusts in total (from pre-c**) and is it possible that after three thrust there wouldn't be any pre c**?

Feel free to PM me or just post here. Thank you heart

I was reading one of my birth control Rx pamphlets, and it said that the longer you've been breastfeeding, the less protected you'll be against pregnancy.

And regarding risking another pregnancy, use a condom or get him to learn to keep his p***s away. You've already got one child, and you know what can happen. Smarten up, use your head, and if you don't want another pregnancy then don't put yourself in a situation where you can fool around without any protection.

I've been breast feeding for almost 3 months now so I guess that isn't that long confused

Another question about pregnancy which I have totally forgot about with my own experiences is that does your discharge change when you are pregnant (consistancy, texture)?

And the last question is, if you are indeed pregnant while breastfeeding, does your breast milk change at all or stop being produced, or does it stay the same?

Well, I'm sure a lot of these questions would be best for a doctor.

There's no way we can be psychic enough to know exactly how many "thrusts" amount of pre-c** it takes. The bottom line is, it takes ONE sperm to get you pregnant, if you want to get down to the nitty gritty.

Now, when you are breastfeeding, it is true that it does serve as a type(but VERY unreliable) of birth control. It depends on are you exclusively breastfeeding, any bleeding postpartum after a certain point, etc. There's so many factors that play into that, the vast majority of women who are breastfeeding use a backup method such as the mini-Pill, condoms, etc. Unless you are wanting to get pregnant again all ready, if so good luck! You're on your way!

As for the discharge, it depends on the woman during pregnancy. If you're talking even before you know for sure if you are pregnant, you may or may not. Early pregnancy symptoms can mean just about anything until you get a positive test. I know the most part, increase of discharge/differences didn't occur till past the first trimester.

As for breastfeeding and pregnancy:
Quote:
According to the La Leche League, a well nourished mother should have no difficulty providing for both the unborn baby and the nursing child if more than one year old. If a child is younger, the mother will need to watch the child's' weight gain and provide additional solid food if needed.

Not to say there wouldn't be challenges of course.

Though if you're going to go on hormonal birth control while you're breastfeeding, you need to talk to your doctor. For the Patch, I think Depo, and possibly the Pill, the hormones will pass on to the baby through the breastmilk. So you need to talk to your doctor about it first if you're going to use something besides just a condom.

If you want to test for pregnancy while breastfeeding, would the large amount of hormoes causing me to lactate effect the outcome of an at-home pregnancy test?

Regardless of what the results of a home-test are, you should go see a doctor and get them to give you a blood test, because the results of a blood test are more likely to be correct than those of a home pregnancy test.
