This is an issue that has arisen many times in the conversation of art-making involving technology. Anyone see the recent Mac commercials? The Mac "jumps out of the box ready to play", and PC is so "stupid and boring." Then I hear all about how Mac is way too expensive, you can't find anything to use on it, etc... PC's suck... Mac's suck....
Honestly- does it matter? Do you have a preference as to what platform you make your artwork on? Are they that different?

I have both. Mac and PC. There's really no difference when working with art. They're the same~ I guess the commercials for Mac jumps out alot than Pcs. But, as a Mac owner, it's really hard to find art programs that PC computers use. Also, Mac software programs are really expensive. Unless you're willing to pay it from your pockets. But According to your question. There's really no difference when it comes to working on art.

PCs are just as good as macs when it comes to software and working in art programs, and it's often better... I've worked on both and didnt see much of a difference between the two, except that macs are more expensive and less upgradable 0_o so I stick with pcs biggrin
dont be fooled by the mac ads - they have nothing that pcs dont.

It's not the tools, it's the artist that makes art.
I use both just so I can be fluent in both and be able to hold my own in the career world.

I've only noticed 2 things:
1- the way memory is written to is a slightly different formula 2- the GUI- graphic user interface
There are simple ways to get around the Mac/PC memory issues, that's not a problem. I can't stand the GUI on the Mac. It's very annoying to me. The way the computer is setup for a person to interact with it is more about looking cool then performing a function. A Mac and it's peripherals are more expensive once you add everything up, so I'd say go with a PC system if you are watching your budget.
Having worked in a Mac lab on many projects, I prefer the GUI of the Windows platform.
