Lefika had tried to keep slow as she walked so that Majani would not get lost. She would hate to be responsible for losing the kid, she thought she rather liked him, though the echoes of the noises he made did make her ears flinch a bit.
Once they were seated, though, she smiled at the relief visible in the juve's face and so apparent in his voice. She made herself comfortable while he took his seat, settling down in the moss. When he introduced himself, she grinned in a vague sort of amusement. "A king, eh?" she asked rhetorically. "Well it's a pleasure, your majesty." She made a low, graceful bow of the head. When she rose, she pressed a paw to her chest and declared, "I am called Lefika." She had no nicknames, no honorifics... the introduction was quick and simple, and that was the way she liked it. She had no interest in obtaining any honorifics anyway.

[ Majani licked at his paws, wondering why when he sat they hurt even more. This was so different since rest makes things hurt less! Or, thats what he thought. His eyes shimmered in the moonlight that found it's way though the thick canopy above them. He laughed as she called him a 'majasty' but he felt like something else was to be told, "Yup. And Halili will be my queen. She's so pretty." he sighed dreamily. Just saying her name made his heart flutter. Majani hoped they would be together forever.
He shook his head and listened to her name, it was a very important thing to know when he needed to tell her something. "Lefika? Can I just call you Fika?" He asked her. He liked giving nicknames to things. But he could never bring himself to shorten Halili's name. It was just so pretty to him. ]

Lefika, too, noticed the moonlight, and she smiled up at it's soft rays. She adored the moon; it had a magical sort of quality about it. Then again, Lefika found she had a fondness for the sky in general. She watched it awhile until clouds rolled in and obscured it from her view, then returned her attentions to Majani. As he spoke of his little crush, she smiled at him. How beautiful the simplicity of a child's love. If only true love were as passionate and pure. Lefika didn't care for real love, and she didn't think she'd ever felt it, and she didn't think she ever would. As far as Lefika was concerned, the only one she needed was herself and herself alone. "I'm sure she's very lovely," Lefika assured him. She wondered a bit what this girl was actually like, and whether or not this child was blinded by a false love or truly had an affection for something honest.
Then he asked his question, and Lefika shook her head. "No you may not. My name is Lefika. I have no need for nicknames. It's only one more sylable, child, I think you can manage." Her chosen words seemed harsh, but Lefika spoke them with a simplicity and a plainess that softened the blow. It was just another statement, just another fact to her.

[ Majani was taken back by this statement. He didn't think that suck words would hurt so much in his heart. H looked down and his tail and ears drooped. Maybe if he just stayed quiet she would stop saying things like that to him. Majani kept his eyes on the ground and kept them there, he didn't want to offend her by looking up at her anymore.
He began to trace his paw through the soft wet dirt playing with it like it was something new. While his mind was filled with wonder of how creatures lived in the ground below them. He uncovered a few worms then recovered them when the sqwirmed. He peeked up at Lefika and immediatly dropped his gaze again. The stare back down at thewelcoming dirt. ]

Watching Majani, Lefika sighed heavy and rubbed her paws along her face. Great. Just great. She'd gone and upset him. She certainly hadn't meant to, she liked the kid. She prowled up to his side and tapped on his chin to encourage him to look up at her. "Hey, hey," she said softly. "Don't be like that. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings... and even if I had meant it, you don't need to take crap from anybody like that. Hold your head up high, kiddo, and don't let people get you down. You're better than that, you know that?" She ruffled the fur atop his head in what she hoped was a playful manner. She wasn't used to giving pep-talks, though it seemed to be gradually becoming her niche. Eventually maybe she wouldn't be so rusty at them.
She sniffed the air and frowned a little. She could smell the humidity and sense the duskiness on the air. Looking down at the juvenile, she muttered, "We better get moving again. Rain's coming." Almost as though on cue, a low rumble of thunder roared through the sky. Beckoning with her paw, Lefika stood and pushed on into the jungle, wanting to get under the cover of the trees before it started pouring.

[ Majani sniffled, trying to let her kind words make him feel better. He didn't trust her as much anymore, he'd hold back his feelings a little more so that if she ever made him sad again, he wouldn't feel compleatly terrible. He shook his head tuft and rubbed against her lightly.
"Rain?" He never liked the stuff. Always falling from the sky out of nowhere and drenching him. It made his fur uncomfortable too, especially when he couldn't shake the water off without more getting on him. Majani followed her closely, making sure to keep and eye on the rain and it's drippy drops of evil. ]

As Lefika shuffled awkwardly through the forrest, she sensed Majani following close at her heels and she hoped this meant that she was forgiven. Her movements were growing gradually less graceful the deeper in they went, impeded by the ever-thicker brush and the ever-thicker trees. Soon it started to drizzle, audibly, and it could be heard disturbing the leaves overhead before Lefika could even feel the drops start to hit her back. It began to pour almost all at once, drenching the plants and the land and sending many small creatures scurrying for their burrows. Lefika pushed her concentration to it's limit; she would have to listen even harder to hear her prey through the din of the storm.
However, it was movement that caught her eye first. Instantly as she detected it, she halted, and she held out her paw to make Majani stop and whispered "Shh" to him. She watched the movements with intent. Something was disturbing a grove of tall ferns and leafy plants up ahead, and it was certainly bigger than a mongoose. Motioning for Majani to stay back, she bent low and prowled ahead, moving silently, aided by the wetness of the ground to dampen the dry leaves and twigs. Ever so slightly she nudged one of the ferns aside to get a look at what she was dealing with. Up ahead, a warthog nuzzled into the ground, making a wallow to roll and rest in. How perfect. Her legs became springloaded, and she wound herself up, withdrawing a bit before lunging into the air, breaking through the ferns and landing on the startled pig before it had a chance to run. It thrashed at her muzzle with it's tusks, and Lefika snarled, but a quick snap at the throat and a shaking of her head finished the creature off quick. It had been quite the respectable adversary. She bowed her head to the dead creature to show her respects to it before gripping it by the leg and dragging it back to Majani. She beamed at him, though her nose still bled a bit. "Bon appetite, hon," she declared. "You can go first, you're hungrier than I am."

[ Majani felt the subtle patter of rain drops dampening his fur, the sweet sent of rain was all he could smell no matter haw much hate he held for it. The ground was softening, making his paws sink into the new mud that had replaced the solid, yet soft, dirt that his paws were accustomed to. With each cold drop his hopes of getting food drained away, letting his flame of hunger grow stronger with each passing step. His brown eyes slowly closing and opening again. He hadn't eaten in days and it was begining to get to him, he was growing more tierd and he was begining to trip ever other step. The moonlight was hidden behind coulds, and the clouds hidden behing thick drops of rain. It made Majani think that the sky was sheading tears for him, but he knew the sky cried for no one but it's self. Majani's tummy roared, demanding food instead of asking with quiet rumbles. Little bugs would do no good in there.
Majani opened his mouth to speak, and tell her that she should just leave him here. If she found food and brought it back to him, great, if not, he'd eat mud. She shushed him before he could get a single word out. He sat down, drenching his back and bottom with mud. For a moment, he looked so normal. His stripes had dissapeared behind the shield of mud. He though badly of his pelt, He never had liked how different it looked from others, while Halili loved it. She loved him too. Majani was stareing at Lefika. She had brought food. His tummy hushed it's self as his eyes fell onto it's body. Majani would have been just as proud as Lefika if he had manajed to do the same and bring food to share with anyone.
"Th--thank you!" He stuttered and jumped on it digging his teeth in viciously and ripping a bloody chunk out. He ate without a word, hardly chewing. He swallowed up more than he thought he would need so he wouldn't be this hungrey again for a while. When he finished, he looked down. He felt like he had eaten much more that he had. He sighed heavily, "No more rumbles." He blinked his tierd eyes and waited for her to enjoy her catch as much as he did. ]

Watching Majani eat his fill, Lefika couldn't be more proud of herself. It wasn't about the kill, though; she had brought down much tougher game before. She was just proud that she could've helped out a young lion in need. As she watched him tear ravenously into the pig, she only just now began to notice how hungry she herself was. Her stomach buzzed with emptiness. Funny, she hadn't thought it had been that long since she'd eaten, but then again she often lost track of time and neglected herself more than intended. Still, she sat patiently until Majani was quite done. The difference in him was quite apparent. His coat may have been dirtier, and yet still somehow he seemed brighter, healthier, and he definately showed a marked increase in energy. She grinned at him as he sat back. "I trust you're feeling a great deal better, then?" she asked. She already knew the answer, though, and she was glad of it. For a second, she thought she might be losing him.
That said, she bent down and dug in. She was not as hungry as Majani had been, and yet still she ate quickly and sloppily. She thrashed pieces of meat of the body mercilessly, and soon it was hard to tell which of the blood on her face was the hog's, and which was her own. Covered with mud and blood, Lefika knew she'd desperately need to find a place to bathe in the morning. She looked like she'd been through hell. When she'd finished ravaging the kill, she sat up and lapped the blood away from her lips. "Hmm, it's been a while since I've eaten warthog," she muttered. "It's a peculiar taste. Not bad... just peculiar." She shrugged. It was unimportant. She might not even have commented on it, but feeding tended to make Lefika relax a bit afterward and let herself go.

[ Majani rubbed up against her, getting even more wet from the drops that had fallen on her. The mud on his back was begining to wash off and his odd pelt. His Belly was full and he felt how empty he once was. Majani looked down at his belly while she ate. It had become bludgy and big, making him feel slugish. He watched as the pig's blood turned Lefika's pretty brown fur a vibrant crimson. She was so ruthless when it came to eating, the whole time Majani wondered if she was hurting herself in this process. He had been so intent on rubbing against her he had forgotten to answer her question, though he knew she already knew the answer. He waited for the last of her ruthless bite to dwindle away and for her tell him she was done. When Lefika told him he nodded. "I feel much much better!"
He licked at her fur, trying to lick away some of the blood that had randomly splattered on her, making her look polkadotted on the front of her, he licked at her feet several times before realizing that they were part of her fur. "I didn't taste it. I just swallowed it." He said between licks. He was very picky when it came to others being clean. He could care less about himself playing in the much and mud, but others were a different story. "Can we get out of the drippy drops?" ]

Lefika wasn't used to physical contact in any way. In fact, some might call her a little antisocial. Therefore this sudden wave of physical affection was making her feel a little awkard. She let it go, however, because she knew it was just his way of showing his gratitude. Frankly, it was flattering, even if a bit odd for her, and she could feel the burn of a self-conscious blush on her cheeks. She did appreciate, however, having been cleaned up at least a little bit; Lefika tended to be a bit obsessed with her grooming. She smiled down on the young lion when he finally answered her question. "Good," she said. "I'm glad of it."
He asked about getting out of the rain, and Lefika looked about herself with a frown. It was dark and the jungle was dense. She hadn't wanted to go too far off the beaten path for risk of getting the kid lost in here. However, she was fairly certain she wouldn't be able to find decent shelter without pushing further into the jungle. "Well, hon," she began cautiously. "I'm not sure. Shelter might be hard to find, especially this late at night." She stared deep into the jungle a little longer, then glanced back at Majani. "You sure you want to go looking for it now, or do you just want me to take you back home?" Lefika, personally, didn't care either way... it was really up to the kid.

[ Majani plumped his rump down and looked at her. "Home!" He didn't mean that he wanted to go home, but that he was home. He had been in the jungle for so long it was hard to picture anywhere else to live. He shook his head, tring to get exess water off, but failed misserably. "Maybe... You should find your way home. Or come home with me!" Majani nodded and yawned when he finished sleeping. His belly was full and he wanted to sleep some of it off.
"IF you choose to come, then follow me. If not, don't. But if you ever want to talk to me again I'll be watching the sunsets!" He rubbed up against her as a goodbye and quickly took off though the trees. His small structure running into few probloms and triped occasionally. ]

Lefika nodded with understanding. Of course. He'd said the jungle was his home, it was silly of her to assume that any one part of the jungle would be his home. No, it seemed he called the whole jungle home, which made perfect sense to Lefika. She shook her head politely to decline the offer and smirked at his assumption. "Why child," she said, "I have no need to find my way home. I call the whole world, home, and I never stop moving... so, I'm afraid I must be leaving." Lefika liked the kid, but she couldn't stand the thought of staying for too long. She needed to keep moving, like the wind.
"Perhaps someday we shall meet again, young Majani," she agreed. "You take care of yourself, and don't you let yourself starve again." She purred a bit when he made contact and nudged his head playfully with her nose, careful not to get too much blood in his mane. Then she watched him go, and with peace in her heart forged through the jungle. It was going to be a long night...
