I'm at the spot where I just caught my first chocobo (!!) and I had to cross the marshes. I did, and I noticed a little hole in the moutnains and saw that Seph had kicked the snake's a**.
1. Isn't it weird how there's still a snake roaming around to beat you up?
2. ..What do I do next? Am I supposed to get off my chocobo? I'm afraid to, lest I have to crawl back through the marshes and get eaten by the snake. =<
Suggestions? Revealing hints? GOLD? (No, jk.)

heart thanks for even reading this. alright, basically, the midgar zolom isn't one snake, its just a species. and second, just get off and go through the cave ^^ No worries about going back, there is nothing on the otherside that you need anymore

But uhmm~. Now another question. Is it worth helping the people on the mountain with the Condor on the reactor? Cuz I've given them like 5000g, but not at once, so the guy keeps telling me to at least donate 4000. crying As if I had that kind of money to just give away..

Later on in the game though it does pay off because you will be able to get the Phoenix summon there. That won't be until about the third disc I believe.
When the time comes for breeding chocobos I can help you get the Gold. ^.^

Wait until the 2nd and/or close to the 3rd disc. By then, you'll have enough money to support your own private nation. That way, you'll have plenty of money to blow on units, so you don't lose the battle. If you lose, you don't get the Pheonix summon, which is damn useful for the Final Attack materia.

Seldaara Later on in the game though it does pay off because you will be able to get the Phoenix summon there. That won't be until about the third disc I believe.
When the time comes for breeding chocobos I can help you get the Gold. ^.^ first off, seldaara? Did I ever mention you have the coolest sigs ever! XD But at any rate, don't forget as well that you can pick up a imperial guard armor there if you fight the enemy instead of beating them back in the mini game, plus you can pick up a really good weapon early on for Red XIII and Yuffie there if you keep playing it

Cuz I've given them like 5000g, but not at once, so the guy keeps telling me to at least donate 4000. crying As if I had that kind of money to just give away.. like everyone else said, it's just a mini game. but even later in the game, you wouldnt really need to bother funding for troops. midway to late of disc 2, the people of mount condor will launch their final and decisive battle against the shinra, you're able to participate against it nonetheless. even if you lose the war, your party will wind up fighting a General. or whatever the heck its name was... fairly annoying enemy, but still manageable.

And yeah, I forgot about that. sweatdrop lol. I usually just let the guys come up the hill and then I beat them with my party. They're never very difficult. Actually I find that easier to do than the little strategic battle thing.

I'm running around in Junon (or whatever) -- the harbour. And I'm stuck. I already went up to where the airship was, and got the uniform, but am I supposed to particpate in the parade? Or.. O.o; Ionno. Mrr.

yes you have you go into the parade.
but to help you more why dont you by the final fantasy vii strategy guide? my brother got it for me for christmas and it is just amazing. it tells you exactly what you need to know. and it'll be way easier then waiting for replies to your post about the questions you have xp
