That is very cool, but I feel like it is one element away from being "finished".

Like if you were to add a white border to emphasize the shape or ... something. I feel like it needs something.

yeah, feels really bland. been feeling burnt out lately from all the work i've been doing. mebbe i'll try your idea with the white outline...couldn't hurt.

That's exactly like a an assignment we had to do at the end of the year in first year photo graphy.

i dont get the unifinished feeling from this, and i don't agree a white boarder would look any good. i do notice that, maybe because of my monitor, the images are somewhat dark and don't pop as well from the black background. Maybe brightning them or adjusting the contrast would help.

yeah, i noticed that it's pretty dark on my crt monitor too...my bf did all the adjusting with his flatscreen so the colors there are more vibrant. and i think it's to the point now that it'll start looking washed out if i keep bumping the brightness/contrast on 'em. the other problem was that i was taking the photos while the sun was going down and i had it on a fixed f stop so some areas didn't get as much light. i'm considering just trashing this one and starting on another one since i wasn't too happy with the composition in the first place. maybe like an interior shot will do nicely so then i can use the architecture to my advantage instead of having a big blank sky.

I really don't think that is necessary. It's usable source material, it just needs to be jazzed up.

I don't know what you call that nifty shining swooshy photoshop effect you sometimes use but maybe a bit of that?
