Being on holiday at the moment, so sorry for not posting but yay for friendly people with net access!, but I brought along a few books with me, as you do..
I'm rereading Incubus Dreams at the moment, my first reread after deeming it mostly literary porn, and I'm coming to the conclusion that it's not as much sex as I thought it was. There's more plot than I remember. Then again, I've still got 200 pages left to go so there's still room left to disappoint.
Also, woot for exchange rates, I found Stroke of Midnight in PAPERBACK! I've only seen it in hardcover in Australia no matter where I looked.
I've also seen Danse Macabre.. now, lemme share this 'cause it cracked me up but then I'm just like that, it's AU$50 first and only time I saw it on an Australian shelf. I've seen it, twice now, for 10.99 pounds (Yeah, I'm in the UK) and converted to Aussie dollars that'd be around, lemme guess, about 25 to 35... and, if I had the bag space and I may end up getting a new suitcase just so I can fill my current one with cheap books, I am so tempted to get.
Anyway.. Just a babble just 'cause I could.
May catch up again next time I'm by a comp and read what few msgs there may be.
Fingers crossed I be in Paris then 'cause there is talk. lol
Adios

I must say, that's astounding compared to the $16.95 that I got with amazon.com. Then again, I convinced my parents to get amazon prime so that I can get free two-day shipping. I buy that many books.
That Danse Macabre was that expensive overseas is pretty weird...wonder if it's a different edition? But, so soon? confused

Fenris, I hope you do buy Danse Macabre soon because I can't wait to hear your opinion. It is pure porn compared to Incubus Dreams & I thought she couldn't get more porn packed into one book than she did in ID.... I was wrong. I am still glad I read it because I don't want to miss out on what is going on with the characters, but I really can't wait to hear your take on it.
You always have the greatest things to say! BTW have fun on your trip!

Having just reread ID, and CS, before reading DM.. I'll having to agree to disagree. Yes, there was the whole literary porn dealy going on... but whereas ID had it in quantity, in DM it's quality. Lot more plot in DM that I whole heartedly approve of.

GTFOLosers I am guessing you guys are talking about hardback becuase when I got the paperback I got it for 8 bucks. Yeah, I only ever buy paperback, unless all they have is hardcover. The only AB book I have in harcover is The Harlequin, and that's only because the paperback version wasn't out when I bought it. Is it yet? Oh well, doesn't matter anyways.

Ya see... when I wrote the original post it was, oh, almost a year go now and I was stating English Pounds and then, well, I was comparing it to Australian Dollars. 'Cause, well, I live in Australia and I was on a vacation type dealio in the UK. Ya see, not everyone lives in the US and uses US currency, shocking as that may seem... The cheapest Anita book I've seen has been AU$20, which is a standard paperback price.
