I think I need to start again for the manga... I read it to some point but left it for I didn't (easily enough) find episodes.
Now where was that download button again....

Hmm, I watched the first episode of the new series, and was... annoyed. It's like, since they decided to follow the manga's plot for the end, the went ahead and screwed up the begining.
I was kinda hoping they'd just sorta pick up from where the anime started to seriously diverge. I really don't want to have to watch the begining all over again.

I saw it! Finally! I'm mostly happy Hughes and Kimblee showed up. ^_^ ...Dunno why I like the latter so much, but he's awesome.
It seemed to me like they were trying to stuff so much into the first episode, though! x_x There was so much happening, which I usually like, but none of it was introduced quite right, like you wouldn't get everything if you didn't already know the series. :/ Then they spent so much time trying to fit in every running joke in the series, with Ed being short, and Armstrong being sparkly, and Hughes being Elysia-crazy, and Roy being useless in the rain... All of which I love, but it seemed a little forced...
I still liked it; I just have a habit of exacerbating all of my complaints... sweatdrop

You like Kimblee because Kimblee is awesome, and that's all there is to it. =D
I'm hoping that the pacing of that episode means they want to get through the beginning quickly, in order to connect with the manga faster. Which is good with me, because OMG I can't wait to see LING. ALKJFDKLA

LING, YES! Unfortunately, I know him better from the fandom than the actual manga; I only got up to volume... eight? Ack, I'm really going to need to finish the manga before this anime ends!

Oh, whew... I didn't miss a thing yet...
I love that guy... before he got... err... not sure if anyone has read up to that part, so I guess I won't say yet.... but that guy's just nuts really! xd
