Shield drones are more or less a must, as they make for good, cheap ablative armour, especially when combined with HQ choices and Broadsides.

Shield drones are great, but if you must have more dakka, go with missile drones. ninja

here's a question I would like answered. From what I've read in the codex, any unit capable of selecting a drone can choose between gun, shield, marker, or missile drones. Yet someone at my local hobby shop said that only the broadsides can use the missile drones because of something he read in an FAQ, that and it seemed that only the new broadside kits give you the materials necessary to create said drones. Now the kits having the drones is one thing, but I'm not certain about the other he said. Can anyone confirm this?

alright, thanks... and I should probably warn my tau buddy next I see him about missile drones, shield drones, and drone controllers; controllers only work for gun, marker, and sniper drones

What's a good way to equip the Fire Warriors and the Pathfinders? Cause I'm just not going to be able to magnetize them this time around...I have my six man Fire Warriors group with Pulse Rifles right now. But I think I'll end up with another grip of Fire Warriors and the ten man Pathfinder box.

I keep hearing some pretty nasty things about Tau in 6th edition. Between the Riptides, the overwatch bonuses, and the Markerlights, it seems like they're the army to beat in this edition. Does anybody have any experience playing against them this edition? Any tips on beating them?

Don't try to out shoot them, don't get into a fire fight at range and be sure that you have the numbers to soak up the incoming fire.

Is outflanking a generally effective tactic? How about barrage weapons behind cover?
