He looked like he wasn't quite sure what to say, but his smile looked like it might be threatening to take over his entire expression.
"Thank you." Which might sound like not quite the right response, but it made perfect sense to him.

"You're very welcome." It was an equally inane response but Galatea's smile gave it a strange sweetness. After a momentary quiet, she glanced towards the outdoors again and bit her lip. "Oh," she whispered. "It's getting late. I should... That is, I'm sorry I stayed so long. I should return and see to the Captain."

Hadrian looked a little bit crestfallen - though he might have been trying not too. He wasn't very good at hiding expressions. He seemed, however, to reconcile 'I'm sorry I stayed so long' with the fact that Galatea must feel she needed to keep an eye on the Captain, because all he said was, "Alright. You're always welcome to stay as long as you want, anytime."

"I know. You're so kind to me." Again Galatea stepped towards him and wrapped her arms around his waist for a swift, tight hug. "Thank you so much. You've made me feel so much better and I will think about inviting Dr. Beckham over to visit the Captain."

The hug seemed to warm Hadian's expression again completely, so that whatever bit of disappointment he'd felt before was clearly forgotten.
"Good. Maybe the Captain just needs someone to talk too."

"I wish she would talk to -you-. I'm sure that would help her so much." Galatea stepped back slowly but the smile remained, even as she again linked her hands in front of her. "But I do not think she would. Can I come and visit again soon? I like it here and I promise I won't be upset next time."

Hadrian suspected he would be very little help as a confidant to Captain Rabik, but he was honored Galatea thought he might be so he didn't mention it.
"You can come anytime you want! No matter whether your upset or not." He said firmly.

"Then I shall." She took another reluctant step towards the doorway. "You can tell me more stories about your souveniers and I can show you the magic I've been practicing."

"And..." Blushing suddenly, her wandering eye caught the little stuffed phoenix on a shelf. "And I'm glad you like the gift, Hadrian. I will see you again." Then, with a tiny bow, she spun and forced the door open, stepping out into the air and fluttering off in a pink-cheeked blush.
