chirigami let out a slow sigh as she sat upon the floor of her living room dressed in her light blue pajamas - those ones with the little paw prints on them that they sold somewhere, it had been a while since she found them, pleased she was able to actually buy herself a pair of 'the real thing' instead having to make the thing herself.
Her ruby cat like eyes remained upon the low coffee table, the clutter of mess upon it. All the scattered papers- some crumpled and some as prestine like press out of the pack, the opened and worn graphic novels of various languages that chirigami actually knew or few tidbits of, the electronic japanese dictionary, the few cans of code red mountain dew, a box of goldfish crackers - the kind that Urahara always complained about, a katamari that Taro had made her take home, and.... a very nice looking paper weight.
Well. ... it wasn't really a paper weight, but at the moment it seemed to be serving its only purpose since she got it. And it wasnt even a very good one to be honest. It was far too light to really hold anything in place if someone had just breathed on the papers in question. So, it was more of a nice little nick-knack that someone could place perhaps on a shelf or in a nice glass case or somewhere special. But chirigami knew better, since she brought it home from the one random day that she had thought to venture outside, perhaps not verring to her usual haunts but to one she had not been to in so long. The Aduthule Museum. the place seemed such a bustle of decorating, creatures moving back and forth setting up what was looking to be a festival of some kind.
It was interesting to watch for some time. Curiosity striking her as she stood in the main doorway, Mr Tail swishing behind her, knowing himself where they were.... no one noticed her. They were far too busy setting up the lanterns and other such paper products on the walls and ceiling. Well, except one. A strange man she had never seen before. He definatly wasn't Miss Shadow Puppet; whom she knew of and had met and had taken care of one her charges before. No, he - well, being a he - was definatly someone she didn't know but he had seemed rather interested in her. Had clasped his hands on her shoulders, a knowing smile upon his face and a weird twinkle in his eyes and then produced something she had never expected to be given.
A relic. A little relic for her.
chirigami wasn't the brightest and was usually oblivious to what things meant when she was given something - never knowing what came from weird eggs or boxes she would get and especially a necklace that would produce a teenager. But she knew what the relics meant.
The red head was going to be given more charges, two little creature to care for. Twins, something important. She had met them before in the headquarters there - one had named her tail, who was trying to sleep right now - and had actually enjoyed herself among her company.
So, here she was, again, sitting upon the floor of her living room apartment, plagued once again with insomnia. Sleepless nights for days again. Thankfully this time not brought on with the fear of a small child with the ability to barbaque her. No. this time different. This time plagued with odd dreams. Odd mixed dreams that made no sense, which made it make more sense to not sleep in order to avoid their bizarre happenings. Odd dreams of black feathers with red tips to a place where it looked like color threw up. And a haunting smile with the jingle of a bell.
Yeah, didn't really want to go to sleep with those images, even if they weren't as weird as some of the things that would pop up in her dreams. But, they kept coming, kept happening that she felt it was better to just stay awake - she was used to it, she wasn't even sure if she really needed to sleep even though it felt so nice to do so. But, hopefully they would pass after some time... chiri let out another sigh, reaching a tanned hand over the small solid object and let a finger drift over the near transparent wings that stood up from the grey matter. She pushed down lightly, letting go and watched the wings bob and flutter on their own. A small smile spread across her face in amusement and she repeated the action.
A few more times after that as she continued to sit upon the floor, her feet tucked under her crossed legs, back against the couch and in her blue pajamas. She smiled as the continued their reaction to her action, the only set that did anything .. the other stationary as the stone itself.
