Backus continued his circling a bit before he let his sisters get the best of him, he grunted once and then hung back. Very well. He would have to make nice if he wanted the others not to tell his mother. He knew his red mother wouldn't do anything but scold him and ask him kindly to be more 'friendly' around others. But, he knew that was nothing more then a filthy liar. His mother and father were anything but friendly. They were cruel calculated monsters and murders. He would become them, and he would do better then them.
But the dark pup wasn't stupid either. He needed to play this noway but his way, which meant that sometimes it was a good idea to get friends on his side to later do his bidding and if not....well then he could always kill or eat them.
"What game did you have in mind?" He asked simply, his ear flickering back a few times.
Ary Keeyara Ileana, however, didn't see so keen on playing. Unless, of course, it involved finding more creepy crawlies...or perhaps hide and seek. The later would give her an excuse to find a nice little nook somewhere to curl up and stay hidden for a while.
What unnerved her a little was how Malik kept looking at her. Was something wrong? Did she look funny? What? Why was he staring so? She was used to slinking around rather unnoticed...and didn't particularly like the attention. Yakobi Morrigan had slowly gone away, lost in her own mind as her singing continued, dispite the talking around her. Her tail wagged slowly, pushing around the dirt upon the ground beneath her. Steal eyes shut as tightly as ever, her whole soul lost within her meadow of sorts. The place she was always seeing, hearing. The place she always imagined being.
In her mind she was running though her pink and yellow meadow, crows flying from tree to tree, and little fuzzy bumble bees fluttering around her tiny brown body. She smiled, yipping in her head, as she bounded though the flowers. Her eyes shifted, glancing from infront of her to her paws, then back to infront of her. The last thing she wanted was to crush any of the lovely flowers, her meadow was to remain perfect.
The sudden speaking of games, snaped her out of her little delision, as her eyes opened. Quickly she jumped up from her back, giving her pelt a shake. "A game?" she questioned, tilting her head. A slight frown formed upon her maw. She didn't want to play a game. She just wanted to stay in her meadow, with the crows and the bees. DragonsRage24 Malik pondered for a moment, his head tilted slightly, ears flickering to the side a few times picking up noises of crows in the not-too-far distance, "Does not matter to me...what do you guys like to do for fun?" Malik asked all of them now, Backus included, though Malik still didn't trust him completely. Backus' markings were different, all of the other pup's were, but he was black-coated and had bright blue and tan-colored markings and stripes. His eyes were even different from each other. Malik doubted Backus' had heard of Arguin, but he did not say anything. Malik's stories were better kept from Backus, he wouldn't understand...he'd probably make fun of Malik's story, or...even manipulate it into giving Backus' the idea that he was better than everyone else (if he indeed thought that way) and with the story now had a way to prove it. Malik's tail swayed back and forth as he pushed himself to stand. The wind blew gently ruffling the fur on the back of his neck as he peered around. Malik knew Backus' and his sisters were a bit younger than him, so he wondered what they had seen already, what their parents had shown them... That was another thing to consider, their parents. If Backus' acted so odd, would he have gotten hat trait from his parents? Would Malik be in trouble for meeting them and playing with them? No...couldn't be. Would it? Malik turned to face them all and stood, tail swaying back and forth, hoping to find something all of them would like to do, "What do you guys play? Or would you rather explore the forest, or see the stream nearby?" he asked curiously, wondering what they all had seen already. The blue sister out of all of them seemed a bit uneasy, maybe Malik was acting too weird? Or looking at her strangely? He then diverted his eyes to Morrigan and Cayenne...hoping he hadn't made Ileana feel uncomfortable...Morrigan also seemed uneasy now. Meh...this wasn't going very well. ChevalBunita
Backus' eyes flickered with silent anger as he could feel the other male inwardly sizing him up. Hmmm. That was curious. Perhaps the pup knew what he was planning, or perhaps like the others he didn't believed any thread the dark as night pup gave. He highly doubted that it was because Malik was afraid of him. Pity. It was then that he wanted nothing more then to be a wolf of several moons. He was sure if he was just a little bit older his heart would behave and his strength would finally come to play inside his body.
But, that was a long way off. And for now he would have to rely on his own mind. Let his tail wag but only once he sat up slightly, lifting a paw into the air. "Exploring sounds fun," he said simply.

Ary Keeyara Ileana looked grim. She didn't want to go exploring! She was perfectly fine where she was...unless they went exploring for bugs and snakes...mm...maybe that'd be better. But then wouldn't Backus just be mean to them? It didn't seem she could win! So she just left her nose resting beind her paws as she watched the others, unsure of weather she would join them or not. Yakobi Morrigan blinked, looking to her brother that had spoken not to long ago. Exploring? How did that sound fun? She certainly didn't think so. What would exploring bring them?
"Exploring?" she huffed, sitting upon her haunches and curling her tail around her legs. Her gaze turned towards the trees, trying to figure out what exactly they'd do. What if they got lost. What would their parents think? What if they went too far and their parents were looking for them. Backus certainly wouldn't care, that was for sure.
Looking to the ground she thought. Well if they didn't go too far, it would be alright. "I suppose if we don't go too far." DragonsRage24 "Have any of you seen the stream yet?" Malik asked curiously. It wasn't far, just a few meters north of where they were currently, "It has fish in the shallow areas sometimes...though snakes sometimes hide in the roots that hang over some parts of the stream. Though the crows and ravens hover over them to try and grab them...so usually you know where they are..." Malik stated, trying to describe it in a clear way. He didn't want to lead them too far away, in case their parents would come looking for them...he wouldn't want to suddenly get in trouble with their parents by taking them far away. Malik walked around in an awkward circle, seeming as if he was thinking, tail siwshing back and forth. "Each of them are different... probably have their own likes and dislikes. But I'd rather have all of them go then have everyone separate...I really want to make new friends..." Malik said in the far corners of his mind. He turned around again to face al of them...perhaps this would work, "We could go to the stream...or you could tell me what things interest you. And I can see if I know of a place nearby..." Malik said calmly, trying to have everyone participate...even Ileana who still seemed to not want to. ChevalBunita
"A stream you say?" Backus asked, his eyes lighting up with that strange fire they held whenever he was angry or was planning something. He turned towards his sisters, looking each on in succession, as if daring them to voice their protests. "I think a stream will do just fine, why don't you lead the way." As soon as the words left his snout Backus was already to his feet, his dark tail wagging back and forth behind him.
Ary Keeyara Before Backus could say anything, however, Ileana had got up. She nudged the squirrel into a bush, where it scampered off awkwardly. Then, glancing up, she looked at Malik, her ears seeming to quiver with excitement. He was still a stranger to her and she still felt odd around him, but when there was slithering creatures involved...well, she'd suck it up.
"Where are the snakes?" Her voice was rather quick, but still not quite in a joyful way just yet. Yakobi Morrigan's ears perked up as crows were mentioned. Ravens too, but crows where what was really catching her interest. No, she had to remain responsible and well what if one of her younger siblings got hurt. Oh but the crows!
Since Malik had mentioned the stream she was asuming that that place wasn't too far. "Sounds rather entertaining." she paused looking to her siblings. "As long as we aren't gone for too long."

DragonsRage24 Malik watched Backus as he seemed excited about the stream, but what caught Malik's attention was how he peered towards his sisters with a gleam in his eye. What was he planning? Surely the stream was not very deep at all, many shallow parts you could walk in, roots to grab onto if you fell in...why did Backus always seem to be planning something others would not agree on? No matter...Malik would have to think it over more. He tilted his head and tail swayed back and forth a little faster now as he saw that Ileana got up and came over, seeming interested in...snakes? No matter, everyone had their own hobbies and likes right? She still seemed a little nervous around him, he hoped that would pass though, "The snakes are usually by the edges, hanging under the ledges of earth that hang over the water and do not touch them. They are harmless...field snakes just trying to escape the crows...they're fun to follow and play with though..." By "play" Malik hoped Ileana got the idea that Malik did not torture the snakes at all, just follow after them and trying to catch them. His tail was swaying back and forth happily now, they were actually beginning to actually want to explore with him...but Backus...there was something that didn't seem right with him. Oh well, if he tried to do anything Malik was sure his sisters would gang up on him. With that thought Malik smiled as if he had laughed at something really funny...how nice it would look to see Backus pushed into the stream by his three sisters...how very nice. Morrigan seemed to perk up with the mention of crows and such...Ileana liked snakes, Morrigan crows...interesting. "Its not far at all..." Malik yipped as he turned and started to walk slowly in the direction of the stream, glancing back behind him every few moments to make sure everyone was behind him, and not darting off in another direction to get lost. ChevalBunita Backus nodded his head once as Malik spoke, showing only the vaguest hint of interest. This stream really did sound promising. Hoardes of small creatures to torment or slaugher for the fun of it, though he had a feeling the others would not let him get close enough to have his fun. Oh well, upon another time. But, still he couldn't help but wonder how deep this stream was, and if not deep he wondered if it would take much effort to pin the new male pup down and his three sisters. He could drain them slowly, he could and in his mind's eye he had a vision of four small furry bodies floating in the water around him. Bobbing with the ebb and flow of the water as he stood in the middle as if lord of the death. He let a wild grin slip to his maw as he reflected up on it.
Oh how nice it would be. But as soon as the thought crept in, it crept back out again. He couldn't let on what he was thinking about. The others couldnt' know, no one could. Even himself didn't understand the bloodlust he craved fully. So instead of uttering his musings or letting on he continued to pad along, tail swinging from side to side as he did.
Ary Keeyara Ileana bounded after him quickly without hesitation. She did so wish they were the poisonous snakes...they always had more interesting stories to tell. Ah well, it was still so much more fun then sitting around! Perhaps this trip wouldn't be so bad. She'd just have to keep her brother away from the snakes else he hurt them or something. Jeeze, he was a pain in the butt. Yakobi The young brown female, nodded slowly padding behind the others. Perhaps she could even roll in the stream while speaking with the crows. Maybe the crows she met would join her in her meadow. Maybe they would hum with her. That was a lot of maybes, but she knew that if she tried hard enough that what she wished to happen would most likly happen. That was the way things worked, wasn't it?
She smiled at the mention of the snakes avoiding the crows. That just seemed funny. Kind of like how birds and even little fuzzy rabbits avoided her. She wasn't big, bad or scary. And it definatly hadn't hit her that the crows ate the little snakes. DragonsRage24 As they got closer Malik was sure everyone was behind him. As they neared the sound of rushing water could be heard, as Malik's ears perked forward the sound of a crow echoed in the canopy of tree branches above. Stepping out from the trees Malik looked around and saw that only one crow was around..not too promising for snakes, though it did seem as if it was hovering over an area with one. The water seemed a bit fast today, a little deeper too, but not too much. They would be fine if they slipped...or if Backus tried anything. Crimson eyes glanced to the right as a log lay on its side, little spiders weaving webs on the inside for protection from others. "The current seems a bit fast today....but not too much..." Malik figured Morrigan had seen where the crow was perched on a bush, if she stalked it correctly she might be able to catch it. Crows around here seemed to stay in the area even if there were predators. "There might be a snake over there..." Malik pointed with his paw towards where the crow seemed to be staring. There was a small hangover of earth over the water, the snake must've been hiding. The water was quite shallow there, and there were stones to step on it they didn't want to get wet, "You can try to see if there's one hiding there Ileana." Malik said with a smile. Malik padded towards the stream and leapt down and stood on one of the rocks that was still untouched by the running water. Stepping stones where everywhere it seemed, good thing to, in case Backus tried to push any of them in. Malik could see the vague image of a striped field snake, more colorful than the usual ones, but not poisonous at least. Malik stretched out on the rock and sat on his haunches and looked towards the shallower pools in front of him. A few small shadows of fish appeared, perhaps he could catch one for a snack.... or maybe, Ileana, Morrigan or Cayenne would want one... Malik looked upwards and saw all of them in clear view. He smiled at them but watched Backus closely. Malik's tail flicked to the side every now and then, ears twitching sideways listening to the flow of the stream. A few more crows flew overhead landing with the other one, at least there were more crows for Morrigan to enjoy. And maybe more crows meant more snakes.

Once they arrived Backus decided to bide his time and keep mostly to himself. He knew his sisters would probably have a grand ole time with this new pup, but as for him? no, no, he needed to wait to make his move. He wandered briefly what his parents would say if Backus really did end up drowning his sisters and the new pup. Perhaps he could kill them as well if they voiced too much?
Or maybe the day had no killing in it. Her certainly knew the risks of having everyone against him. Perhaps he should try to be more coy before the slaughter came.
Ary Keeyara Ileana was quick to dart over to the small ledge. She made a puppy growl at the crow and peeked her maw under the rocky overhanging. There she spied a snake, much to her glee. She murmured something to it, something too low for the others to catch.
When she pulled her head up it could be seen that the snake had curled itself around her neck in a friendly manner. Well, that sure was odd! But Ileana seemed to find it the most normal thing in the world. Yakobi Steal orbs widened as the young female pup, glimpse the large black crow. Or perhaps it only seemed large because she hadn't seen a full grown one before. After all she and her siblings weren't that old.
A large grin spread its way across her stubby maw as she lowered her stomach to the earth. She was going to go over to the brid and speak with it. But first she needed to find a way to make sure that the crow did not flee from her.
Her tail waved about in the air as she continued to eye the winged creature, that had perched itself upon the frail looking bush. Her sister seemed to have found a critter friend and she wanted one too now. Then again there were her crow friends that occupied her mind. But not everyone could see those. She had always wondered why. Why she could see them and no one else.
Her attention was conpletly focused upon the crow now, her mind clouded from the rest of the things going on around her. Where was she again? No matter, the crow would be her friend. She wanted to speak with it. She needed to speak with it. Maybe it would even sing with her. DragonsRage24 Malik watched as Backus seemed to get more distant with the group now, perhaps he knew that there were more odds against him if he tried anything, this amused Malik...and made him quite happy on the inside. Malik was sure that if Backus tried to do anything..he could do something in return with greater strength...yes, course he could. With all the anger and emotions he held inside from days past, he would surely be able to do something to keep Backus in line if he tried anything. Malik watched Ileana with a smile, she went right to where the snake dwelled under the ledge. From far away it seemed as if she said something...no, couldn't be...could it? She leaned back up now with the snake wrapped around her neck...in a friendly way...how strange, yet interesting. The way the bright colors clashed with her blue fur made her markings stand out even more to Malik, he smiled in her direction, wondering if she was beginning to like him better. His eyes turned to Morrigan, who seemed to be pretty occupied by trying to sneak over to the crows...how peculiar. Oh well, perhaps coming to the stream was a good and bad thing...on the upper hand, Malik was getting to meet these pups and get a feel for who they were, even start to like the three femmes...though not Backus. But on the downside, each of them were seeming to find their own enjoyment in finding to do something by themselves...no matter, they were curious, and Malik did help after all right? A tiny brown/green toad hoped up on the stone in front of Malik, and he tilted his head at the creature as it ribbitted at him...weird. It began to hop from stone to stone, then into the water where it disappeared, Malik sighed and turned his attention back towards the rest of the pups, watching them go one with how they desired in this area, his tail flicking back and forth. ChevalBunita
Backus stayed were he was, head rested down on his paws while his yellow and red ever were never blinking, rested on the other pups. He let out a bored yawn before his ears perked, hearing something. He raised his head up and then let his eyes tick down towards the ground, watching with a grin as a snake slithered past him. Oooooo now this could be fun. He stood up completely and then clamped his jaws down around the snake, eager to skin it still alive. But, then it happened.
The malgnancy deep within him began to act up once again. Perhaps it was the strength in which he exerted himself, perhaps not. It struck his chest, twisting and turning at his heart like giant claws. It gripped him until he doubled over, wheezing. As the snake broke free and slithered away, leaving the poor pup gasping for breath.
Ary Keeyara Ileana saw the other snake appear, though a little late due to being distracted by the appearance of the frog. She cried out as her brother grabbed it, getting ready to torture it as was his usual way. "BACKUS!" She called shrilly, racing over to him.
When he started coughing and let the snake free, however, she quickly darted after it instead of going to his aid. She was far more worried about the scaley creature then her brother, cruel as that might seem. Yakobi The sudden sounds of her brother gasping for breath caught more then just Morrigan's attention. The young female sprung up, frowning as the crow flew off into a tree, cawing as it flew. Giving her head a shake she rushed over to her brother, steal orbs watching as her blue pelted sister chased after the snake Backus had droped.
"Brother!" she shouted, poking him with her snout. It was easy to say that she was worried for her sibling, dispite how cruel he could be. She couldn't help, but not feel worried about his well being. Her mother would be quite upset if anything happened to the youngest of the four. Well she'd be upset if anything happened to any of the four of them. Backus was different though, he had a heart condition.
"Backus! Are you alright?!" her voice sounded that she was distressed. Her brother had to be alright, she'd make sure he was alright.DragonsRage24 Malik tilted his head and jumped up from the stone, pawing at the overhand of earth climbing up it to run over to Backus. Sure, he wasn't fond of Backus, but Malik couldn't just sit and watch him suffer. He may have deserved it sure...but there is no reason for someone to be in pain and suffer with no help from anyone. Malik pawed the ground back and forth...what to do? He thought. He wasn't breathing right...why was that? Malik got close enough to lay his ear against Backus' chest an listen...it was his heart. Malik watched as Morrigan seemed the most worried out of all Backus' sisters. But what could he do? Maybe he could snap Backus out of it? Ya, he could try that. Malik bolted back to the water and jumped down, splashing into it, he scraped the side of his right forearm on the way down, but it was bad...you could barely even tell he cut himself. He dipped his paws into the water and jumped back up and went over to Backus again. Malik placed his damp left paw on his forehead, the water now hopefully cooling his head, he put his right paw on Malik's chest by his heart, hoping it would help. But...what else could he do? And would Backus get mad for Malik helping him if it worked?

Backus let his one yellow and one red eye lift towards the sky as his heart pounded around inside his ears. It was true, he was the epitomy of evil, for he wanted to maim and kill without reason or cause. He did it for the simple fact that he wanted to, and cared not for anything else. But, at times like these you could see the little bit of humanity edging about his eyes. That he was not terribly lost or forsaken. As soon as his sister came to him and Malik placed his wet paw on him, Backus was jolted back to reality.
He could still feel his heart wanting to burn out and shut down on him, but the jolt was enough for it to come back to a steady normal pace. He rolled over to his side and continued to breath heavy, his tiny body shaking with every breath, death and loss dancing around inside his head.
Ary Keeyara Ileana was busy nursing the other snake. Once it had seemed to have calmed down and started feeling better it joined its fellow around the blue pup's neck. Only then did Ileana turn to look over her shoulder at her brother. She didn't look concerned or surprised. He had had these little..."attacks" before, right? He had never died before now, so why should he start. She wrinkeld her nose in irratation and krept over to a corner where she could sit with her critter-friends. She wasn't having so much fun anymore, with him around. Yakobi Morrigan let out a sigh of relief as Malik trotted over placing his wet paw onto her brother's head. Soon Backus sprang up, only causing the female to let out another happy sigh. Her brother was alright, that was good. Great even, now they'd just have to listen to him being cruel or watch him doing so.
Perhaps it would have been better if she hadn't been worried about him. No, that would just be wrong. She did not want to sink to his level of caring so little about anyone other then yourself.
"Backus are you alright?" she smiled. DragonsRage24 Malik backed up from Backus now and let him be closer to Morrigan than to him. His tail flicked sideways and his ears perked up a litte, at least he was okay. Malik turned though with a sigh and went back to the stream. He jumped down into the water and laid on his stone again, but dipped his leg into the water. His cut stung a little bit, but it passed, the little bit of blood flowing into teh water and being flushed away, cleaning his cut. Least Morrigan was happy her brother was okay, but Malik wasn't making much success with making friends, close friends with any of them...even teh girls who seemed nicer and friendlier than Backus. Meh...this little adventure wasn't turning out how he had planned. ChevalBunita
Backus finally calmed himself enough to stand on his own feet, though his shudderings still continued slightly. "I'm...I'm okay," he said quietly, his yellow and red eye downcast slightly. He hated moments like this, moments when he was weak and anything could be used against him. He looked over to Malik and decided that he should at least give his thanks, which he mumbled in a voice just above a whisper. Just because he said it didn't mean he would have to truly mean it.

Backus/Cathal - Oh daddy dearestChevalBunita
A slight scowl covered the young pup's maw as he laid on his belly with his head rested on his paws. He did not want to be here, oh no, he surely did not! He was supposed to out there!! Tearing apart something or someone until the bones crunched and the blood flowed freely. But, oh no.....his whore of a mother had repimended him for asking her if he could see what color his sisters' insides were.
Psh, it was only a stupid question! It's not like he was really going to hurt them. Okay, maybe he really truly wanted to hurt them, hurt them bad, but he wasn't stupid. He knew what would happen if he even laid one paw on them. So sourly he took his punshiment, which was being sent to wait on his father. Maybe this would pass, no matter how much he despised this brute named dad. It wasn't going to last forever, and he was sure by the day's end he would be free to frolick the woods once more.
Yakobi Cathal let out a yawn, lifting a forepaw and rubbing his snout. He had been out for most of the day, mainly due to Dougal's constant nagging, thoughts of death and blood floating about his mind. His other half had been pushed away for the most part and now was the time when he'd find it best to head back home.
His tail swayed slowly behind him, the blue gleeming in the little amounts of light as they hit his fur. As he neared, his gaze soon turned to that of his son. His black pelted, Dougal look-a-like son. His snout lowered, how he hated that kid.
Slowing, he stoped next to his son, taking a seat upon his haunches. "What are you doing out here?" he questioned, not turning his gaze from the distance to the black pup. ChevalBunita
Backus looked up at the wolf he was supposed to call 'father'. Hmmmph. He got up off his belly and merely stared at him a few beats. He knew how much Cathal had hated that, and Backus liked nothing more then to rub salt on the wounds. "I'm in troooooooouble," The dark pup sing songed, his maw etched with a strange grin of sorts. "Mother says I'm supposed to be out here waiting for you," he added in normal tones, the lightest of shrugs gracing his shoulders.
Yakobi Cathals' brow arched, a pain running though the scared area on his blue faded eye, forcing him to close it. He hated how his son was just staring at him, those eyes. Ugh.
His lips raised, as he let out a small growl towards the pup, "What did you do this time?!" he snapped, it seemed that Bakus was always getting into trouble. Be it back talking, trying to hurt his siblings or simply torturing some other animal. Why couldn't Fuega have just allowed him to eat the pup at brith? It would have made his life so much easier, only his three daughters to contend with, whom of which were far less to get into the things that his son did. ChevalBunita
Backus flinched only slightly at the harsh tones in his father's voice. Though the flinch lasted just a few seconds, it was still more then he would normally give, well anyone. But, his father was different. It wasn't that he was afraid of the older wolf, and the heavens knew he didn't respect him. No, it was something else. Like Cathal made the young pup's skin itch and twist in on itself, like he was torn between ripping apart the flesh or being drawn towards it.
If Backus had paid attention to his father, because often time he would see the old brute talking to himself, then he would have realized that he was drawn to his father's darker half. The black void that he himself had inheritted. But, of course Backus did not pay much attention to detail, so this went unnoticed.

Yakobi Cathal grunted, finally opening back his blind eye. His gaze shifted ever so slightly towards his son, he wasn't quite sure if he wanted to know what the pup had gotten in trouble for, now that he trought about it. And wasn't it somewhat his falut to begin with that Backus was the way that he was?
'Entirly your falut you know.' came Dougal's hiss from the back of his mind.
No he couldn't think that way, he'd simply think what he always thought before. The kid was a nusance and simply was not his. "You've got to stop 'causing so much trouble." he uttered in a harsh tone, grunting once more. ChevalBunita
"I'm not," Backus said simply, the twisted smile finally waning off of his maw. "I merely suggested we see what the insides of my sisters look like," he added with a puppish snort. He blinked a few times and then nodded, as if dismissing what he had done. As if what he had just said was nothing more then father and son commenting on the weather. It was clear that Backus really would live up to his threats if given a chance to act on his sadistic nature. And what's worse was the little fact that afterwards, after all his carnage was said and done, that the dark pup simply wouldn't feel sorry for it.
Backus merely did not care.
Yakobi Cathal snarled, quite tempted to push the pup into the ground or at least bite his son. However if he ever did that and Fuega found. Well it just wouldn't be good, he was just simply not in the mood to upset his mate over something he didn't quite know about. If his son did however do something that irritated the older male, then well Cathal was sure he'd think less about giving the pup a good bite.
"You're not hurting any of your sisters." he barked, lowering his head to look his son in the eye. "Your mother may have not approved of me eating you, but don't tempt me." his voice trailed off, how he'd love to just eat the kid and get it over with.
'Then why don't you just eat him, Cathal?' Dougal chuckled from the back of his mind. 'Then you can just leave the female with the other pups to die....Or better yet! Eat them too!' ChevalBunita It was then that Backus felt the tiniest inklings of, well it was fear but the dark one would never admit to that fact. His skin twitched a few times underneath his fur and the only thing he could think to say was, "Fine....." his yellow and red eye ticked back up towards his father, the brute named Cathal, and he felt another rush of anger at the older wolf. Oh how he hated him so! He attempted to raise himself up as much as his short stature would allow him to and then he bristled.
"Well then who can I hurt if I can't hurt them?" He asked in all seriousness. He may as well get permission for his sadistic endevors otherwise he had a feeling his father just might live up to his threats.

Backus/Mavis - Fear me little one!dbz2004 Mavis wandered around the vast meadow, his bright colors slightly dulled due from the constant rays of sunlight that had been beating down on him for the past couple of days. He hadn't seen his father in many weeks and he wasn't too concerned about Flit. He was actually very happy that he was away from his father and his father's packland. He never really liked it near the ocean.
ChevalBunita Backus had first discovered the too bright and carefree meadow when he was chasing a small snake that was refusing to allow the dark male pup to catch and torture him. That's okay, he didn't mind much it was more fun when they ran anyway. He never did catch that stupid snake, but the male didn't mind that either. Because right now he had his sights set on a little rabbit that had wondered in the strange meadow.
dbz2004 Mavis' ears twitched slightly as he heard rustling in the grass not to far away from him. He canted his head to one side and gazed as a small section of the grass began to part for something. He began to creep closer and closer to the unknown thing, hoping to discover what it was.
ChevalBunita Quickly Backus perked his ears, his maw turning and twisting into what could be taken as a cocky smirk, though the dark one didn't really have much to be cocky about. His sensitive nose had picked up a scent from someone nearby, another wolf that he was not familar with. Hmmm, but he still had a rabbit to catch and then slowly and painfully torture to death. What to do?
dbz2004 Mavis stopped in his tracks when he noticed that the unknown thing had stopped, too. He canted his head to one side and started to walk towards the object when a tiny voice in the back of his head caught his attention. 'Mother will be mad with you if she found out that you are meeting other wolves,' said the voice in a sly voice. Mavis shook his head and backed up a few inches. 'Mother won't be angry. She would be proud that I am meeting new friends,' argued Mavis. 'Mother will hate you. So will Father and Brother. Father will be mad because you abandoned him; Brother will be mad because you haven't found him yet; Mother will be mad because you met strange wolves on your search for them. Mavis shook his head and forced the voice to the back of his mind. "Nobody will be mad," he said in a soft voice.
ChevalBunita Backus flicked his ears once, his one red eye and one yellow eye ticking around through the grass in his crouch to see where the voice had come from. It was too soft for him to make out the words, but it was loud enough to tell it was someone speaking. And if he had to guess he would say it was a wolf much like himself.
Bristling and raising himself up over most of the grass he looked around and said, "Be it rabbit or wolf that's nearby, hmmm?"
dbz2004 Mavis twitched an ear when he heard a question arise from the grass. He looked up to see a dark wolf pup looking around for something. "Wolf," was all he said in reply to the question. He pinned his ears back against his skull and waited for the other pup to find him.

ChevalBunita
Because the other had spoke Backus had pinpointed exactly where the voice had come from. This made the dark one very happy indeed. He padded over, not too close, but only to be seen, his tail hanging low and curled around one of his back legs. He twitched his nose a bit, studying the other with his one red eye and one yellow.
"Hello," he said low and in an almost monotone.
dbz2004 Mavis took a couple of steps back, his ears still pinned back against his skull. The pup seemed harmless, but he didn't want to take any chances. He lowered his head down slightly and wagged his tail a few times before speaking again. "Hi," he said in a soft, shy voice.
ChevalBunita Backus could sense the shyness about this other wolf, that pleased him. It meant that the other pup didn't pose a threat or wouldn't make fun of him for his heart problems and his sadistic nature, much like his three sisters would.
"My name is Backus," he said calmly, taking a few steps closer. "What is yours?"
dbz2004 Mavis canted his head as the other wolf began to inch his way closer to him. He flicked his tail slightly and lowered his body down close to the ground. "Mavis." He wagged his tail a few more times befor tucking it between his hindlegs.
ChevalBunita "Having fun Mavis?" Backus asked, his steely gaze never breaking away from the other. "I was after a rabbit myself," he added giving his maw a quick short licks with his tongue, thinking momentarily of the rabbit that had probably gotten away by now.
dbz2004 Mavis shivered slightly as the other pup stared at him constantly. He shrugged slightly, but remained silent. 'This wolf is creepy,' he though to himself. He tried to back away, but his legs felt like lead. 'What do I do now?' he thought to himself frantically.
ChevalBunita Backus frowned slightly, his eyes finally ticked away from the other wolf to look up at the sky, as if looking past it into the black void beyond until his gaze went back to being fixated on Mavis.
"I won't hurt you, you know," he said with a shrug of his shoulders as he took to pawing at the ground.
