Okay, I started using tampons and I know I inserted them right cuz I didn't feel a thing when I moved around or anything. The only way I knew that it was in was when I saw the string. But... even though the tampon had been in 8 hours and was full (it was leaking, so it had to be), it hurts like heck to remove them!! Every time I use one, it happens... I'm probably going to keep using them whether or not it hurts to remove them because they are much easier for me, and more convenient (pads make me feel unsanitary::shudders: smile Am I doing something wrong?

It could depend on the way you're standing/sitting when you pull it out? o_<; Maybe try a smaller size and change them more often.

What brand are you using? I can't use any other brand than Tampax pearl or else it hurts so you may be like me. You just need to find a brand that you are comfortable with. [.Julie Booly.]

Different brands can have different sizes. The most comfortable (for equal abosorbancy) is the Playtex Gentle Glides at least for me. They expand in all directions so they don't have to get as wide as the other ones, and they're a bit smaller though they last almost as long. Try different brands, and if that doesn't work, you may not want to use the larger sizes, and try to stick to regulars or even the teen sized ones, and change them every few hours. Good luck!

[.Julie Booly.] Go Pearls heart anyways, as for the hurting, when i first stated using tampons, they hurt like a B****. i suppose you just have to wear them enough untill you get used to it. i mean its not like its a everyday thing to shove something up into yourself when your first starting your period. or at least lets hope not. lol. or like other people have said; change the brand or your position. it could really make a huge difference
