"Anya." He rolled the name on his tounge, it sound so familiar, where had he heard that name before. "Hello Anya, my names Colby Hughes. You can call me Cole." She wanted basics she was going to get it. "How old are you Anya?"

Anya relaxed, letting her shoulders fall back. "Cole.." It almost sounded like a girl's name. She stayed silent about it. "Colby Hughes.. Hi.."The girl blinked. "Err.. 13..I.. uh.. think.." Her voice was almost silent, and meek as it could possibly get.

"13...You think? Who the hell is in charge of you?" There was anger evident in his voice. "Don't they take care of you at all? A kid show know how old they are. Lord, I even have a little brother around that age, I can't imagine!"

Anya cringed at Colby's anger. She rubbed her arms against eachother, leaving some small scratches that did not break the skin. She should run now. Yeah. Her feet slowly started to shuffle backwords, and her eyes darted around. Yeah.. Time to go.

Cole sighed, "That wasn't directed at you Anya. I'm sorry, I just. t makes me angry that's all." He calmed his voice imediatly, attempting to push the anger from his system. "Look kiddo, you look like you could use a roof over your head. "My car is just down the street, I'll take you to my mom's house, you can take bathe, eat, and what have you." He added hesitantly; "You don't have to stay of course, but you look like you could use a break."

Anya stopped in her tracks.Again. "House..?" SHe asked, hesitently. Food.. bed? A shower.. That sounded soo tempting. "Uh.. Uhm.." Anya frowned, contemplating por's and con's. "Er.. Uh.. Okay.." Anya finally answered, meekly. Was it a trap? No.. It couldn't be. She could always run, anyway. "Yeah.. Okay.." She formed a sort of ghost smile, something that was to be very rarely seen from her.

With a nod he straightened up, sligning his bag over his shoulder again. "Good. My mom is an amazing cook, she'll have you stuffed in no time. I don't know if my sister's clothes will fit you, she's my age and all, but she's pretty small so you might." He likewise smiled, his white teeth flashing. "The car isn't far, follow me."

Anya nodded quietly, and quietly followed him, still nervous. "Sister...?" There were others.. "Wait.." Anya stopped. "You never told me how old you were.."

"I'm twenty two." He said offhandedly, "Yes my sister, she's my twin, Ally, but she's not home, she's off at school still. The only people home will be my mother and my little brother. He's sixteen."

"Twenytwo.." Anya's head bobbed up and down, she was feeling a bit more confident, and it showed. "A twin?" She blinked. "Oh.. Fraternad? No.. Farternal?" She shook her head. "Fraternal, yeah.." She smiled quietly, and continued to follow him.

"Yup that would be it. You wouldn't believe how many people tell me we look alike." He laughed, "It's sort of odd, having a mirror image of yourself, except as the opposite gender." Crossing the street he passed a few more buildings before comming to an almost vacant parkinglot. Parked near the side was a jet black, Jeep Grand Cheroke, a 96' model. "I bet you'd like her. She's aweful quiet, but really shy." He was obviously in his element now, grinning broadly and generally enjoying the conversation they had started.
