rey deserved it for using eddies name to get to the title
and as for those people who say "eddie was reys friend, rey would never do that" i say bullshit, rey could of just as easly declined the out of nowhere push untell the blow of eddies death had passed, what rey did was not only immoral but also very selfish. check and mate.

well i wanted to see rey out of the title...... i mean the belt is bigger than his head and hes not heavyweight... he deserves the wwe champ, not the heavyweight champ
but the results of GAB was kinda predictable...... Chavo would betray Rey one day and looks like it was at GAB

Rey was just doing as his old friend Eddie would have. in a way it's remembering him by acting like him.

I've been saying this for a long time. Rey's push is because of Eddie's death and everyone knows it, especially Rey. Yet despite the questionable morals of accepting the push, he does so. Then the crowd have the nerve to scream "Eddie! Eddie!" at the top of their lungs every time Rey shows his face. Rey is not Eddie and never will be, nor should he try to be. Now I'm not totally flaming Rey, and I loved Eddie as much as the next guy, but I just think that the WWE and a lot of other people are simply going the wrong way about showing their respect.
The Chavo thing was great! It was just like when Shawn Michaels turned around and Superkicked Hogan's teeth in after their tag match. I sat there and paused, rewound and replayed both of those events over and over and over, and they made me chuckle every time.
One thing I'd like to say about Rey's gimmick. How the HELL do you have an Underdog Champion!? Listen to that for a second: Underdog. Champion. Does anything not sound right about that? It should! The two contradict each other totally! By simply being a Champion you are relinquishing your Underdog status. You cannot be the Champion and the Underdog at the same time, it simply cannot be done. Now I can see where WWE is coming from, but it would be more correct to simply call Rey "The Short Champion" or something of the like. While Underdog Champion may sound better, it simply is too contradictive.
