Ohh... I'm a closet watcher crying . Most of the people in my school are anti-anime. But the ones who aren't, are anti-beyblade, it saddens me very much. *tear*

*laughs* anime is 'JapCrap' over here
Though- most people have seen NGE for whatever reason. None of them seemed to realise what initiation it is to have watched NGE but if you start talking about it you get a
'Oh! I watched that once! It was on SBS at some point'
Weird rolleyes

*laughs* I tried to understand the storyline and symbolsim before just went bleh.
But I've watched end of so many times that I've started to understand it and have gotten to the point I see the unintended humour in basically every scene

Hmm... Anime's not 'big' up here per se.... but nearly everyone i know has watched some of it at some point...
And there's no hate surrounding it i guess i'm trying to say... its half popular.

I can garentee everyone in my year has watch anime at some point or another. They just thought it was cartoons most likely and didn't realise it came from Japan... I was asked why I watched "them types of cartoons" before and went into a big long rant about anime & manga sweatdrop Somepeople just ignor it and don't even realise unless they actually know what it is...
to redninjagoddess92: wth? thats stupid! :s people can be so weird... haha look on ebay? XD

I'm most definitely not a closet fan of Beyblade. xd
I just wish that I came to Manila (capital city of the Philippines - where I'm living now) a few years earlier; I might still have been able to score some Beyblade merchandise, aside from the Dranzer F blade, the spring grip (that thing Kai attached to his launcher in G-Revolution), and the Rei hand towel I have. Oh, and two limited edition button pins (they came free with Volumes 4 and 5 of the Chuang Yi English edition). I only have Takao and Max, though; my Rei button got lost, and the store stopped carrying the manga before the 7th volume came out (the one with the free Kai button)...
Anyone here been in a tournament? I know, totally off topic, but I was just curious...

I'm a partial closet fan of beyblade. Depends who I'm talking too.
I want to go to a tournament so bad! But the closest one is a two day drive, and with gas at the price that it is, I can't go.

That's the closest? ...wow...
I've only been in a local tournament, and I was just under the upper age limit in order to join. I was the only one of three girl participants who made it to the semi-finals :O ...and later became champion of the First City-wide Beyblade Tournament. Still undefeated, actually... sweatdrop hoooo, boy...
I would have entered the national tournament, too - even got a phone call from one of the facilitators - but my parents put their foot down. They said I had to make school my first priority and not some 'silly game of spinning tops'. mad It's not a silly game!
And then there's the time I got an email saying I was a contender in the WORLD championships. Again, I had to say I couldn't go. Can you guess why? xd (yup, parents again...)
Ah, well...hope you can go to a tournament sometime soon. 3nodding
