Just as contagious as before, Emi couldn't help but chuckle herself as the rabbit mix dived underneath Foenix's legs to check underneath the table. Swishing her tail around, Emi found a smile settling on her own cheeks, watching the little lad dash off outside in hope of finding the two females hiding place a second later.
"I remember when I was that little, I could never find my older sister. She always used to hide up the nearest tree," Emi mused, running her thumb along the edge of her china cup. The chuckle had fallen away, but Emi kept that same smile, ears perking to listen to Foenix once more. It reminded her, of how she'd been that young once (whether Blanche would believe that was another matter all together), how everything at this age was so big, so exciting, and all you wanted to do was go out and explore everything until you had it all pinned under your forefinger.
The woman paused before replying next, glancing out towards the window. A breeze ruffled the trees outside, swaying the few leaves left on the large tropical tree. "Acia's an earth spell weaver, right? I received a letter from Alyosha way back when I enquired about the fridge," She questioned to start off with, her thumb swiping along the engraved pattern on the cup before carrying on a second later.
"I'm sure we'll all find it out eventually, where she's been mind. It just makes you wonder how many more secrets they have up their sleeves, they just seem to learn and grow so quickly," Emi commented, offering a smile back up towards Foenix. Aerandir were an amazing race, and the guardianship for one seemed to bond both Guardian and Aerandir so close a knitted bond for such short a time in comparison to human years.
Blanche's chest tightened in that funny feeling she'd always had. The waiting, the wondering whether your captive would find you in the end. She shifted in Nehanda's grasp, the small of her back resting right up against her stomach as she sat over the girls hip. Small ears listened attentively, large golden eyes releasing their gaze from the crack in the door back up towards Nehanda.
She tried it again, opening her mouth. Not that it would return properly, but she hoped Nehanda would get the jist.
"Oo chu?" The little girl questioned, muddling her 'ch' sound up for the 'to'. Her nose crumpled in concentration, her tail battering back around against her leg. She'd get used to it eventually, she just needed more practice.

Nehanda correctly interpreted Blanche's question. "You bet! You see, when I changed from gryphon to child, there was this other stage in between, called a Wisp. I spent a few weeks as this little blue spirit thingie. I couldn't touch anything, and I spent a lot of time flying through walls and such. Then, once I was a kid, I had to learn how to walk all over again, and hold things, and speak . . . And I kept running into walls! I'd forget that I couldn't float through them anymore."
The quiet self-laughter left her voice as the swan-maiden leaned closer to the fox-child. Golden eyes met golden eyes as she tried to put her understanding into words. "We all go through it. It's pretty hard, and really confusing, and there's a lot to learn. But I think you're going to catch on pretty fast! And if you even want any help, you get Emi to send a letter over to my house. I'm happy to come over any time you need."
Foenix nodded at Emi's question. "That's right. Acia actually set up the soil in Nehanda's gardens. Blanche should meet her, once she's a little more comfortable in her new skin. I don't know if you have other plans for teaching Blanche her spell-magic, but tips from another Aerandir SpellCaster would probably help."
She sipped at her tea, and smiled at the flavor. "This is really nice. and the cookies are good, too." She finished one in emphasis.
Oleo dashed around the yard. Fweenix had said to look in big hiding places. Handa sure was a lot bigger then him and Blanche, so there were a lot of places she couldn't fit. He scrambled partway up a tree, using the rough bark and low branches to pull himself up, but there was no sign of the girls.
Silly girls. What could be better then hiding in a tree?
As he dropped back to the ground and scanned the small yard, his eyes fell upon the small shed. It was big enough to hold both of them, and it was the only other structure in the immediate vicinity. Quietly, desperately stifling his giggles, Oleo tip-toed up the the shed. Taking a deep breath, he eagerly yanked open the wooden door.
"I founds you!!!"

The little girl perched on Nehanda listened intently, golden eyes pinning themselves down to every word: enveloping the knowledge for another day. A wisp? Emi had gone on about that to her as a gryphon once...Yet, as the fox-child smiled, a small chuckle left her throat.
Oh no. He hadn't heard that, had he?
Instantly, the little girl clapped both of her hands over her mouth. Of course, making a sound in hide and seek seemed completely the wrong path to take all together. So, once the short chuckle was muffled, Blanche returned her full attention back to Nehanda's voice. Emi had taught Blanche her thank yous early on after that little miss-fitting episode with Progolo, and the fox child had obviously taken it all to heart rather quickly. Once the offer was painted for a little bit of guidance, Blanche's little hands fell back down onto Nehandas.
"Ank oo," She spoke in that same hushed tone, falling back into the old habit of wrapping her white fingers around the older girls fingers. Once there, Nehanda's hand would find itself shaken ever so lightly in gratitude. Her ears promptly flicked back to her head, Oleo was climbing the old tree in the garden: she could hear him from even here.
Emi's ears flicked lightly against her head, Progolo had offered to teach Blanche a bit of the basics, but Foenix was right. Metallic blue eyes found themselves diverted outside for the briefest of seconds as the sound of the door bursting open fell on sensitive fuzzy ears. Their garden really did need a good re-vamp sometime soon.
As quickly as the thought reverted round, Emi turned her tails back onto the attention of her visitor. "I'll see if I can get hold of her soon then, I'm afraid I know nothing about magic at all," The keppit furry chuckled, almost on a nervous tone. Foenix wouldn't think any the worse of her for knowing nothing on the subject Gaia seemed to be so full of, would she?
Sometimes even the smallest things can bring the most awkward of situations around, and the tea pulled Emi out of her anxious blanket once more. She smiled, her tone raising to a more confident, if somewhat surprised, octave once more. "Oh, thank you. Looks like Oleo found Nehanda and Blanche," Emi commented on the end.
Blanche's air was stuck in her throat as the crushing of grass underfoot was heard. Slowly, ever so slowly, the girl tried to release her hand from Nehanda's. Unfortunately there wasn't very much time between that and the yanking open of the wooden door.
Golden eyes battered and blinked as the sudden onslaught of light hit her irises, a rather suprised expression dominating her features for a few moments. Mouth open in an 'o', Blanche's cheeks curved around to smile: a smile turning into a wider smile and then finally a happy laugh. He sure had found them both.

((Now that Air's back, she'll probably want to collect Oleo soon. Wanna start tying this thing up?))
Foenix glanced out the window at Emi's words, and grinned. Oleo had just pulled the shed door open, and was now dancing gleefully from one foot to the other. "Looks like it," she chuckled. As she watched, yet another random thought occured to her. "Just as a little warning, Acia is somewhat uncomfortable around non-Aerandir. She's a very lovely, very sweet girl, but she's painfully shy. It may be hard for you, but you might want to leave the two alone in private when Acia makes it over here to teach Blanche."
Nehanda still held Blanche's little hand in her own. She was just opening her mouth to say more, when Oleo yanked the door open. His excited expression was just too cute, and she freed her fingers from Blanche's so she could reach out to ruffle his hair. "You sure did! Good for you!"
Oleo laughed. "Gots you! Gots you!" Turning around in a circle, he threw his fingers up in the air. "Can't hide fwom me! Boys wule an' giwls dwool!" This was a phrase he had heard on Foenix's little radio. He didn't really know what it meant, but understood enough to know that it signified victory for him.
"Oh, yeah?" Nehanda raised an eyebrow at Blanche. "The kid obviously doesn't know what he's talking about." Holding Blanche securely, she burst out of the shed and scooped Oleo up with her free arm. With a quick little run, she leapt up into the air and took a small victory flight around the house. "I'd say girls are pretty cool, too, smart guy."
Oleo yelled in excitement and agreed. He loved it when Nehanda took him flying!
Nehanda looked out over the sky and sighed. It was starting to get dark. They'd have to head home soon, while there was still enough light to navigate the narrow Land Bridge. With a final circle, she gently returned her passengers to the ground.

Blanche hadn't the etiquette of knowing what the phrase Oleo uttered so triumphantly meant, nor the worry to wonder over what the meaning disclosed. Watching the two interact, the little Aerandir found herself completely over-whelmed as Nehanda burst out from the cupboard. Sandwiched next to Oleo, Blanche positively clung to Nehanda, tiny white fur follicles flying up on their edge, her eyes widening once Nehanda started to run. What was she doing?
A nibbling nagging feeling encased the back of her throat, wide eyes dashing from the huge wings at Nehanda's back, and then back to Oleo. Why wasn't he scared? Frozen with fright, it was only when the ground started rapidly disappearing beneath them that it came to her. The familiar swooping sensation swirling in the pits of her stomach, manifesting as the wind caught her long locks of hair, the sensation of flight returning to her now child-like body.
Sometimes assumptions are quickly found correct, and as the rapid flur of wings hit her delicate ears, Emi's own metallic blue eyes reverted to the sky. A breath hitched at the back of her throat as the swan Aerandir took to the skies, with those magnificent wings of hers seeming so easy to control on her back. It took her back every time she saw it, an adult Aerandir doing what they must have done all those years ago. When these Islands were in their prime, there must have been thousands of sightings like these daily.
It was only when Foenix spoke, that she returned to her tea. Holding the cup between two furry hands, Emi's ears faltered back to her head for a moment. Acia may have been an adult, and apparently well-accomplished in her field of magic, but how would she feel about leaving her little girl there was a completely different matter. Foenix trusted her, and the name tingled a mention in the back of her mind; a rather embarrassing letter regarding the Ar 'Idil's fridge.
Her head bowed into a nod. When finding a question you were uncomfortable with, change the subject. Tail curling around nervously against her ankle, Emi pulled a smile back to her features. "Nehanda really has grown into a beautiful young lady," The furry commented, brushing one furry finger over the crook of her china cup.
The house seemed so tiny from above, like a pinprick in a haystack. Smile forming, her small ears flickered into the wind, the female Aerandir laughing with delight as Nehanda swooped by the chimney, over the rooted garden, and finally back towards the ground. Cold air chimed through her very fur as they settled back down, leaving Blanche rendered speechless.
Golden eyes gazed attentively at Oleo's similar reaction, only finding her chin ducking in reply. With her tail sweeping against Nehanda's knee, the white fox child opened her mouth, only to close it a moment later, not finding the correct adjective to describe that.
"Ank oo!" She repeated once again, the phrase being the only one to flicker straight to the forefront of her mind to thank the older girl for that marvel.
