Lucious snuck about in the shadows waiting for some unsuspecting pundu to walk by. He was bored and he hadn't had a real opportunity to be sneaky lately. His amber eyes glinted in the moonlight whenever he left the shadows just enough.

Nuala was walking along one of her paths, one that she'd recently discovered was not traversed often by others.
She looked up into the sky, sighing heavily and standing very still for a minute to listen to the rest of the forest.

Lucious heard something behind him and almost jumped. Though he'd been hoping someone would come he didn't actually think anyone would. It was pretty sad that Lucious, lord of all that is sneaky--or so Crocus said, had almost been surprised by someone else. He climbed the nearest tree as quietly as possible to see who it was.
Ah, he recognized the purple-hued pundu from around the mountain. She had come down about the same time he did, but she was quite young at the time if he remembered correctly. He kind of felt bad, maybe he shouldn't surprise her. She was still young. He jumped down a little ways ahead of her, but still in sight. He wanted to know what a young pundu was doing out in the forest so late.

Nuala spun toward the sound of Lucious climbing the tree.
After spending a few moments looking, she disregarded it as wind.
She went back to staring up at the moon.
Then she jumped as he appeared suddenly before her.
She squinted to see exactly who it was in the dim lighting.

He wasn't really used to initiating conversation but he'd seen Crocus do it before and tried to sound as cheerful as the younger pundu usually did. It didn't quite work.
"Er... Hi!" He rolled his eyes at how stupid he sounded. This was why he didn't talk to other people. All he ever said was rubbish and he tried to hard to be cheerful. "So... er... What are you doing out here this late? Shouldn't young pundus like yourself be sleeping?" He knew Crocus was supposed to be, whether he was or not he didn't know.

Nuala giggled at his effort.
"Hello there." She said, rather gleefully, with just a pinch of sarcasm which made her sound somewhat evil.
"Oh, no. I can't sleep. Why're you out this late?"
Nuala eyed him with a cold look.

Nuala's giggle earned her a glare from the demonic teen. He wasn't sure he liked the pundu's attitude already. "Pretty much the same reason I guess. I sleep in the morning."

She waived her hand casually toward him.
"Then you understand." she said, rolling her eyes and turning her attention back to the moon.

He followed he gaze up to the moon. It didn't look any different than usual to him. "What are you looking at?"

She smiled sweetly and walked over to stand next to him.
Lifting his hand up with hers, she outlined the moon in the sky.
"It's full." She said, a grin spreading across her face.
Dropping his hand, she wandered over toward a tree and started climbing.

He blinked and raised an eyebrow. "It is." He wasn't sure what was so special about a full moon, in fact, he much prefered new moons. Less light. It was easier to run around unseen. Curious about this pundu he followed her up the tree. "Eh, Mind if I join you?"

She reached the top of the tree and plopped herself down on a branch.
It was a pretty large, and presumably sturdy branch, so she nodded to him.
"Yeah." Nuala said, reaching out a hand to help him up.

He took her offered help though he didn't necessarily need it, because he hated to be rude. Crocus had scolded him for it once when he didn't say hello to someone who waved at them. That little ball of fur may be cheerful and fun, but he was scary when angry, mostly because it was so rare.
He sat beside her and stared at the moon. He guessed it was kind of pretty. It cast an annoying amount of light, but it was still pretty.

Nuala stopped looking at the moon for a minute and turned her attention to him, staring into his eyes for a moment, then scanning the rest of his moonlit figure.
She wondered what exactly it was that he was thinking, then wondered about her own thoughts.
Leaning back into the air, Nuala suddenly grabbed his arm in order to keep herself on the branch.
