I thought the movie was relatively dull. I laughed a lot at the scenes with Marvin in them, but that's really al I found funny. Except the whole lying down on the floor, putting a paper bag over their head thing. That got me goin'. sweatdrop
Otherwise I was falling asleep in the theatres.

Is the movie still playing out in Noggin-land? Because I'd totally go see it again. I'm actually going to be in Spokane this weekend.

I don't remember seeing it on the board at the Regal Cinemas when I went to see War of the Worlds. Sorry mate, I believe that ship has sailed. sweatdrop

What're you gonna be in town for? surprised I'd be really surprised if it was still playing, but I hoped that by some freak black hole, Spokane got their movies 2 months after we do. I'm visitng grandparents and cousins.

There's only one screen. xd

I saw the movie the second day it was out. I thought it was good. Not great, just good. Still debating if I should read the books. I don't have the time to read right now though.

Bleh, I saw the movie too and I absolutely hated it. stressed I''ve read the books and I think that the movie was a travesty compared to those books. They took out most of the best jokes, including the towel joke (what the ******** is up with Ford trying to beat off the Vogons with his towel? gonk ); They took major liberties with all the characters, especially Zaphod and Arthur. Arthur did not look like a middle-aged lonely man, Martin Freeman isn''t even middle-aged himself. He''ll be 34 soon and he looks younger. The love bit between him and Trillian was horribly cliched and I was disgusted with just how much Disney they injected into the movie. (*cough*singingdolphins*cough*) The entirety of the movie seemed as if they spent about three-fourths of their budget on special effects and did a craptastic job with the costumes for everyone. They ******** with the ending too badly. I don''t really see how they''re going to come out with a sequel. I pray that they don''t.
And just for those: I never had the ability to listen to the radio broadcast but I have seen the BBC broadcasting and I have to say that whoever said they were a lot like it I completely disagree with you: Of course the title music is the same. I''m pretty sure that it was designed that way. You''re right about the Marvin robot and it was about the only part of the movie my friends and I enjoyed. And the Magrathean message has always been the same. I don''t see how this redeems the movie at all or how it even corresponds to the BBC broadcasting enough for a resemblance.
